Served a very dark brown/red with light frothy head. Aroma was of malts with a slight smokiness. Taste was complex with roasted malts and some mixed hops but it was flat - virtually no carbonation at all. Palate was OK - maybe slightly thin for a porter. Overall, I was not impressed - especially by the fact it was really flat. auerbrau (3203) - Ithaca, New York, USA - MAY 14, 2005
UPDATED: AUG 19, 2005 Roasted malt aroma. Deep black with a tall extremely creamy tan head. Served on nitro. Flavor is of burnt malt and light caramel. Palate is extremely watery. Not interesting.
