Pours a clean golden color. One and a half finger head. Leaves some good lacing as the beer goes down. Taste is malty and juicy. Nice hop flavor for a pale ale. Palate starts out malty and finishes with a nice juicy burst. Very good beer. Best one I’ve had from Keweenaw so far. Well done.

Draught at the KBC, Houghton, MI. Clear deep golden color with a tiny white head. Fruity sweet hops, mild bitterness and a lot of caramel malt in the aroma. The flavor is dry hops, moderate bitterness and caramel malt. Easy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Picked up a single 12-oz can from Riley’s Wines of the World in Madison, Wisconsin. Pours a semi-clear golden amber colored brew with an average sized off-white head that slowly dissipates and leaves behind some excellent lacing Aroma of grassy hops and caramel malt and a touch of Earl Grey tea. Taste is medium bodied with flavors of multi-grain malt and grassy hops. Finish is semi-dry with a dry grassy hop aftertaste that hides most of the caramel malt grain flavors. A hoppy and herbal amber ale is a closer style to describe this pale ale.

pours clear amber gold with a smallish white head. aroma is floral. The taste is orange citrus. Mild hop bitterness. Mild bitter linger. Not bad, would be very sessionable.

Draft. Golden. Pour. Just a mindblowingly nondescript and average pale ale. Not much here.

I can definitely say: this is NOT like a swallowing a mouthful of vomit. Similar? Yes. The same? No. So there is that. Or not. I really have NO idea why I bought a 2nd 6 pack (maybe cuz I was drunk on Blatz at the time?!) So, in the future I will stick with Grain Belt, Blatz or something of similar nature. This stuff? Well, I do have a clogged drain that needs fixing that this may come in handy....or not.

Can poured a clear orange amber with a small lasting amber head. Aromas of bread, light orange zest and light earthiness. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of bread, orange zest and a hint of earthiness with a smooth finish.

12 ounce can into pint glass, canned on 8/22/2014. Pours lightly hazy/cloudy golden orange color with a 1 finger dense off white head with good retention, that reduces to a small cap that lingers. Nice spotty soapy lacing clings down the glass. Aromas of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, pine, floral, grass, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of citrus/floral hops and moderate pale malt sweetness; with solid strength. Taste of grapefruit, lemon zest, orange peel, light pine, floral, grass, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness. Light pine/grassy bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of grapefruit, lemon/orange zest, light pine, light caramel, bread, and floral/grassy earthiness on the finish for a good bit. Good complexity and robustness of citrus/floral hops and moderate pale malt sweetness; with a good malt/bitterness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Medium carbonation and body; with a smooth, fairly crisp, and lightly sticky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is well hidden with zero warming present after the finish. Overall this is a nice pale ale style. All around good balance, robustness, and complexity of citrus/floral hops and moderate pale malt flavors; and very smooth and crisp to drink. A nicely enjoyable offering.

can. pours hazy pale golden with a decent off-white head showing some retention and lacing. spicy oranges, lightly toasted peppered maltiness, usual suspects - c’s, earl grey, slightly off-fruitiness, some apricots and peaches, almost rotten, touch of caramel. light carbonation, light body - kind of watery, balanced spicy-peppery-citrusy finish. shy but drinkable apa. o-k.
