Pours a cloudy redish orange. Nice creamy head that vanishes rather quickly. Small lacings spread out sporadically around the glass. Taste is like other Keweenaw beers, weak and watery, no oomph. Palate is on the light side. Overall I’m glad I tried it but will probably not seek again. dekester1 (366) - Town of Maple Creek, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 9, 2012
Poured a nice red-amber color with a decent fine foam head that maintained its lacing throughout. Aroma was bit interesting - a fruity malt. Taste was decent with caramel malt predominating a nutty light hop finish. Palate was decent. Overall, not a bad amber. carlb (107) - East Lansing, Michigan, USA - OCT 22, 2012
Pours a brilliant, copper-brown. Two-inch head forms with rougher texture (larger bubbles) than expected. The off-white-to-tan head settles quickly to a 1/4 inch leaving some Belgian lace behind. The nose has notes of bread and malt without any evident hop. Hints of dried fruit (raisins?) and caraway reminiscent of Irish soda bread. Medium-to-light body. Sweet. Singular malt notes on the palate. Highly drinkable and thirst quenching. Straight forward. Modest carbonation. AxelRipper (12) - Cowlesville, New York, USA - JUL 11, 2012
Straight from the can. Taste is nutty and clean. Something about it makes you feel like you’re in da UP. Lingering copper and nut aftertaste. drjay44 (3739) - Salida, Colorado, USA - MAR 26, 2012
Can shared with multiple others at brewclub. Pours a thin, short lived head, over a clear amber (SRM 14) body.....nose is light toffee/caramel, mild grains......taste is light toffee/caramel, slight cereal.....mouth feel light, carbonation medium. This is a light beer, drinkable, but with minimal to recommend it. BJCP 6/3/10/4/5.

Can. Clear amber with a light white head. Aroma is mild malt, a little musty. Taste is mild, body is medium so it’s not too weak -- has enough substance. I like this -- easy to drink with taste & body. pellegjr (396) - Cincinnati, Ohio, USA - AUG 26, 2011
Can, pours clean copper w/ foamy reddish ruddy head, light nutty malt aroma, light and clean, slightly nutty malt profile w/ strong metallic finish madvike (3271) - Middleton, Wisconsin, USA - JUN 16, 2011
Can - Pours deep, dark amber with a thick fluffy off-white head. Lightly soured malt, with some breadiness and a touch of herbal hops. Wow, there’s barely any flavor in this at all. A light maltiness, with a mineral quality and basically no hop presence. Light yeastiness in the finish. Really inoffensive, but would like a bit more flavor even for a session beer. triguy84 (235) - Madison, Wisconsin, USA - NOV 26, 2010
Pours a clear light brown, rocky head, and lots of bubbly carbonation. Malt forward, nice "bock" aroma. Light malt flavor with a hidden sourness. Medium-light body, somewhat dry finish. sneagrams3 (2337) - St. Louis, Missouri, USA - SEP 14, 2010
Tasted 8/20/10. 12oz Can. Hazy with a dark amber hue. Layer of off-white head. Aromas of cereal grains and caramel with a subtle, sweet fruity ester. Nice nose! Medium bodied and full of sweet malts. Bready and mild caramel. Dry finish with a slight hop bitterness. The finish is mild with a mix of both bitter and sweet. Not too bad at all!
