COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Don't let its looks deceive you. Though it may resemble a porter or a stout, this is a light bodied ale with a pleasant hint of molasses. Don't be afraid of the dark.

On tap at Stubb’s in Ontonagon. A dark pour, a nice roasted quality to it. Just a bit too much cola to it.

Schwarzbier, sehr stark! Ich glaube, dass dieses ein gutes Bier ist! Prosit!

Toasted malt nose. More toasted malt on palate. Really thin on palate with not much else going on. Much better than their terrible pick axe beer

On tap at Bricks. Poured brown black with a thin film that was khaki. Aroma of malt and mild caramel and faint bitters. Taste was malt forward and watery with slight medicinal flavors. Palate was thin and dry.

Pours a dark brown-black, with a bit of creamy, white head. Aroma of roasted grain and malt. Flavor was very roasty, with some chocolate and even some licorice for good measure. Good, but could be better.

Tap in big bay mi Malty molasses and cola. Aroma of the same. Pretty underwhelming

12oz can. The pour gives the appearance of a cola, both in color and the consistency of the head. Dry biscuit aroma with some hints of brown sugar. Light tones of chocolate and roasted malts in the flavor. Very light body with watery texture and average carbonation. Refreshing and easy drinking, just don’t go in with the anticipation of a complex beer and you’ll be fine.

Badass schwartbier. Nice smooth malty palate but just a delicious beer. On point for the style
