Sampled from bottle, a gift from Dansting. Pours clear copper-amber with a thin white head. Aroma is pretty clean with a few fruit notes. Flavor is a bit malty with dark fruit and some zesty citrus. Not much of an after taste. Medium body and moderately carbonated. Overall, a decent beer, but there is a ’tang’ flavor that I don’t dig too much. Glad to have finally tried a beer from Florida. tennisjoel (1460) - Rochester, Minnesota, USA - FEB 6, 2006
Tasted on tap at Outriggers on Fort Myers Beach. Aroma is pretty non-existent, although that could be because I of the plastic cup it was served in and the fact that I was sitting outside at the Tiki Bar. Appearance is an orange red color, similar to the setting sun off in the distance. Wasn’t overly impressed but I did detect almost an apricot flavor well hidden among some light hops and maltiness. This at least kept me interested and gave it a unique flavor. It was the best of the worst with other options being bud, bud light, and miller lite. The bartender from Pittsburgh told me if I liked this beer to try Yuengling lager, which in his opinion was slightly better and could be purchased at the nearest Publix grocery chain. Slightly better doesn’t make me jump out of my seat to make a special trip, if you know what I mean. jcwattsrugger (12420) - Florida and, New Jersey, USA - DEC 11, 2005
UPDATED: DEC 23, 2009 12oz bottle-pours a foamy, off white head that retains well. Color is clear copper. Aroma is mild malt. Taste is mild malt, good carbonation. Best by April-no year.
091222-I’ve had this a few more times and haven’t felt it’s any more than middle of average each time.

The aroma is sweet toasted malt with a light hopping. The appearance is amber gold with an average size head that falls fast. The flavor is pretty good and somewhat sweet. I taste roasted malt and a light bitterness. The palate is decent too. I would drink another one. NYHarvey (2153) - New York, New York, USA - SEP 21, 2005
Sweet malty aroma with a tinge of something sharp in the finish. Tea colored with an ample white head. Metallic water with a dash of malt.

Draft at the Ft. Lauderdale airport. Identical in color to Sam Adams Lager; but no lacing. Another beer that I just couldn’t get down. Corn and chemical bite; plain old nasty. Switched to Sam’s. crizay (1050) - Brook Park, Ohio, USA - AUG 7, 2005
Citrusy flavor, amber color, pretty weak beer, and library is closing so I gotta go. KarmanGhia (276) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - JUL 20, 2005
This beer pours a transparent amber with a surprisingly rich white head that laces the glass nicely. The nose is rather weak with hints of grains and flowers, but it is not unpleasant in the least. The mouthfeel is rather thin and the flavors, which are never very strong, range from a mild floral sweetness upfront to a very light caramel tartness. In the middle there are slight rusty, metallic hints and perhaps a musky yeastiness. The finish is mildly bitter with a light dryness lingering for a while on the sides of the tongue. All of the flavors are very mild, but that’s to be expected considering the nature of this beer. It makes for a decent summer brew if you’re tired of the Summer Wheats. dp (608) - uniontown, Ohio, USA - JUL 2, 2005
Drank this nursing a hangover after a day full of Yuengling. Helped out quite a bit, flavor was kind of citruslike sour. Would drink again. MullMan (1099) - Brooklyn, New York, USA - APR 8, 2005
