Bottled (as Strandjutterbier Mong de Vos, thanks fonefan!). Reddish brown colour with mediumsized off-white head. Aroma is sweet malts, some alcohol, quite yeasty notes as well as mild sourness and spices. Flavour is being quite much the same with alcohol being more stinging and aggressive. Yet drinkable, especially with some cheese along with it. Travlr (25767) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - DEC 11, 2008
Dark maroon with medium tan head. Caramel aroma with big sweet smooth taste and decent malt. A bit sweet for my taste, but still a decent beer. cgarvieuk (25703) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - DEC 3, 2009

Opaque dark brown beer, tidy off white head. Softish palate, a little dry. Smooth malt with a little caramel. Tangy fruits and coca cola. Mild cream. Semi dry finish. Fairly well joined up. Not bad.
Bottle 33 cl. Pours an almost clear reddish brown with a creamy beige head - comes as a slow gusher. Rustic aroma of overripe - even rotten - dark fruit, quite pruney with a hint of wood and Brett. Rich and filling body - very enjoyable - but the carbonation has these huge and vulgar Belgian bubbles. Again prunes and overripe fruit combined with brown sugars and some decent balancing hops. Nice - apart from the excessive carbonation. 131112
