COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Rifermentata in bottiglia. Forma sedimento naturale. Alc. 7,1 %vol.

(500ml bottle) Pours a dark brown body with a small tan head. Aroma of tootsie roll, maple syrup, cocoa, and roasted grain. Flavor of roasted grain, chocolate, vanilla, bread, maple syrup, and raisins with a moderately dry finish.

Clear dark brown fizzy stuff - looks like coke, although I think my hotel room glass was responsible for the lack of head, or "schiuma persistente" as it says on the very long winded and slightly pompous label blurb. First thing that hits me with the aroma is brown sugar/molasses, then licorice, tar, black malt, slight alcohol, faint strawberry ester. a contradiction in the mouth: simultaneously fat and chewy texture, but bright, thin flavours, lacking depth and guts. More of a chocolate malt toastiness than the roast barley bitterness I like, not much hops coming through either. Bit of an ambitious failure.

Lovely packaging with patent cork. Fruity, prunes, grapes, oragnes. Full malt. Pleasant sourness. For enjoying on its own, or perhaps with a ripe cheese?

Bottled. A brown beer with a lazing brown head. The aroma has notes of malt - both sweet and roasted, chocolate, and nuts. The flavor is sweet malty with notes of caramel, roasted malt, and chocolate, as well as lighter notes of soy sauce, leading to a dry chocolaty finish.
