Delightful appearance and the head is wonderful. Beer can be a bit thin, but I do enjoy it. Not too special, not too offensive. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Can, 0.44l with the funky widget. Deep ruby pour with one finger creamy off-white white head. Long lasting, excellent retention. Nose quite subtle; malty, grainy, a pit peppery and herbal. Some caramel notes. Medium to full body with almost flat carbonation. Gets thin as it stays a bit, strange. Very creamy texture. Mildly bittersweet taste with quite a dry mouthfeel. Aroma is a bit faint and lacking. Somewhat empty. Herbal notes. Caramel and toffee, a bit peppery. Some slight cardboard off-notes. Dry finish. Overall, quite bland.

Visual: Widget with CO2 + nitrogen. Initial pour has the cascading draught head, subsequent pour leaves a small 1mm head, half moon layer of retention, slow and steady loose clusters of streams.

Nose: very faint light toasted sweet barley malt. (lvl-3)-pungency

Attack: flat, gentle (lvl-3-sweetness)

Mid-palate: dull carbonation, lightly toasted barley malt

Finish: barley malt grainy, light metallic

Summary: It drinks pretty dull and flat like the other nitrogenated beers I’ve had. The flavour is very one-note and basic. Uninteresting, but somehow I got a buzz from 4.3%.

First out of a bottle. I could hardly believe this was actually marketed at a fairly high price. I tried the can with the widget. Terrible. Rusty tap water with a hint of soap. Poured well over half of each down the drain. Absolutely awful.

From a can with a nitrogenated widget. Pours a light flat brown. No characteristic creamy head on this beer. Still in date. Musty malt aroma and light malt taste. Fairly watery and thin. Disappointing. Not like I remembered.

0.33 l bottle from Pivoteka, Zagreb. Drank it years ago but didn’t rate so I’ll fix that now. Clear amber, small off white head. Metallic, fruity, toasty, light spicy. Taste is ok, sweet, toasty, malty, honey and gingerbread. Light body, quite watery, soft to medium carbonation, abrupt finish.

the aroma is fruity and caramel with shades of raisin, bread, berries and some herbs... the taste is malty and fruity with notes of caramel, berries, black bread and some grasses... sweet, dry and, a little bit, bitter aftertaste...

Guinness gets all the hype in Ireland but in my opinion this is the nicer brew. Creamy, nice head. Goes down smooth, well balanced. Great on cold days.
