Pours a dark coppery color, forming decent beige head of foam. Carbonation bubles evident on inside of glass. Aroma faint of hops, field grass with a bit of funk. Flavour of caramel, straw and some barnhouse funkiness. Weird beer, drinkable but jumbled up.
Pours a dark amber. Overwhelming malty aromas and flavors. Slight floral notes. An odd pale ale, too malty for my taste. jtclockwork (16602) - , New Jersey, USA - MAY 15, 2014

On tap at the World Beer Festival - Columbia on 01/22/2011. Clear amber body with a small off white head. Sweet earthy malt and hop aroma. Dry earthy flavor with light floral hop hints. Medium body with moderate carbonation. ganache (5909) - New Jersey, USA - FEB 13, 2013
Bottle. Nose thick with hops, just heavy, sludgy pine and dark caramel, lighter spiciness, touch of earth under the toffee. Not much fruit but the booze is showing. Amber body with a tiny-bubbled tan head. Taste sweet with some bitterness, more notched-up caramel/toffee, densely crisp full body with alcohol popping. Touch of cracker at the end. Quite hefty and intense, but not at all terrible. keepersj12 (3117) - Sicklerville, New Jersey, USA - FEB 9, 2013
Nice looking amber with a thin head. The aroma has some caramel, toast, maybe some oak. The flavor has the caramel nicely balanced with a bit of hops and a little pepper. Quite dry and refreshing.

Pours a clear orange-red with a 1-finger foamy head. Smells of nuts, bread, leaves, floral. Taste is sweet and bitter, malty multi-grain bread followed by a spicy hop finish. Garbageman (487) - Lexington, South Carolina, USA - OCT 12, 2012
I had passed this up several times and decided to try it. I was surprisied. Orange color, great fruity hop aroma, nice malt and biscuit flavor. A great APA and brewed up the road at Thomas Creek! rumproasts (5359) - Grand Rapids, Michigan, USA - OCT 6, 2012

Bottle. Pours clear to lightly hazy orange with a small, fizzy white head, short retention with spare lacing. Aroma is tropical fruity esters, citrus and orange hops, biscuit and cereal malt. Flavor is medium hops and bitterness, light malt, tropical fruity esters and a dry finish. Medium-light body and medium carbonation. maxwelldeux (4374) - Snohomish, Washington, USA - JUL 12, 2012
This seems really skunky to me, almost like it’s a lager. Pours a darker copper color with relatively little head. I don’t get any hops off this one, like I would expect. Some maltiness, but in an unappealing way.
