Tap at Bottlecraft. Pours opaque black with a medium, creamy tan head, medium retention with good lacing. Aroma is roast, chocolate, and toast malt, earthy and woody hops, prunes and dates. Flavor is dark malt and fruits, medium hops and bitterness, and a dry finish. Full body and medium carbonation. Niekon (10) - Anaheim, California, USA - FEB 4, 2014
an enjoyable "mutt" stout where I definitely got the oatmeal stout & export stout profiles, but didn’t really catch the milk stout profiles. Definitely a pleasant beer to sip and relax. dreadnord (1012) - San Diego, California, USA - MAY 21, 2013
Pours thin and black with a super small head. The nose is roasted coffee, almonds, caramel and wood. The taste is high sweet, medium bitter. The texture is sharp. Body is medium and finish is long.

Just about black in color with a tan head. Roasted malt, coffee, and dark chocolate on the nose. Light licorice notes, some burnt sugar, and mild molasses sweetness. Flavor is slightly bitter. Big roast and coffee notes. Some dark chocolate, licorice, and burnt sugar. A mild sweetness to it as well. Dogbrick (13389) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - FEB 9, 2013
Sample at the brewpub. Pours nearly black with a medium beige head that diminishes steadily. Partial rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee and dark chocolate. Medium body with flavors of chocolate malt, black coffee and a touch of licorice. The finish is roasty with a lingering chocolate malt aftertaste. Above average overall.
