great aroma of fruits, and citrus. Just a wallop of bright UK hops. Great malts to round out the flavor with some great bready notes. Really good EPA. davidm (2080) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - DEC 12, 2010
Tap at the brewery. Very good beer. Aromas of caramel, and grass. Taste has a sweet start, with bitterness taking over for a long finish. Palate is velvety, with a medium body. Gorbalev (3000) - Ontario, CANADA - DEC 31, 2005
On tap at the brewpub. Golden brown, slick oily white head. Nice hoppy nose - way more hops than expected, given that the cask version didnít have these at all. - Very citrus and very nice. Wonderful hoppy taste - big hops, again, more than expected (is this the same beer as the cask version?? They sure seemed to be a lot different). Hops were slightly citrusy, but backed with adequate malt (could have used a little more body). Thin to medium mouthfeel, but lots of malt does come through in the finish - slightly sweet. An excellent Ontario English pale. Oakes (17274) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - APR 4, 2003
Burnished copper; earthy hop nose; robust woody bitterness, punctuated by caramel. The golding influence is less overt here than in the former Hart-brewed rendition. DerWeg (1678) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - APR 14, 2006
UPDATED: SEP 1, 2008 ** re-rate ** half pint today 01092008 at pub was cleaner without sweet stickiness, and really nicely hopped. I uprate plus .1 palate, and plus .2 overall. This is now a more-ish pint!! ** Half pint at the pub! Nice big hop expression is inegrated in an appealingly creamy overall profile that ends with caramel malt sweetness that is just a touch cloying. Very decent effort!

UPDATED: JUL 13, 2005 Re-Rate RBSG 2005 voyage home. Golden yellow body, small white head. Medium-big hoppy aroma, caramel malt underpinnings and moderate citrus. Flavour has a pleasant hoppy bitterness and muted malt. Citrus up front gives way to a sweet fruitiness in the finish that doesnít seem to entirely fit in with the established flow. Average palate, smooth. 7+/3/6/3+/12-13 - 3.4
<P> Original Rating Light golden amber, small off white head. Nice moderate hoppy aroma, with sweet floral notes. Well balanced hops and malt in the flavour. Average palate. Quite drinkable but didnít excite me much. I expect it deserves a second chance with more time and and a larger portion to sit with. Nice beer. 6/3/7/3/15 tomthompson89 (1982) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - SEP 27, 2007

(Draft) I was informed by our server that Kingston Brewing licensed out the production of this beer to Hart's Brewery of Carleton Place; though the recipe is the same let me tell you that the added care Kingston Brewing takes has a huge impact on the flavour. Pours a medium, soapy looking head and a toasted golden body. Nice aroma of hops and slight fruit. Flavours of hops with a mild melding of malt. Good! Flavor:Hi bitterness and light caramel flavor... LadySusan (766) - Ste-Therese, Quebec, CANADA - AUG 30, 2006
Amber color, white head but does vanished very fast. It had a little scent of fruit, some flavor of hops. A pleasant ale.
