Cask at the brewpub. Deep amber with a creamy head that sticks around for the duration. Caramel and earthy hops on the nose. Soft mouthfeel. Flavour is nice and subtle, a bit nutty, will mellow hops in the finish. Not spectacular, but a decent quaff.

The pour reveals a cloudy amber color with a thin white head. Medium intensity aroma of earthy hops, not too exciting but it gets worse in the flavor where the earthy hops are still there but feel weak and boring. The palate is light and creamy and the carbonation is gentle.

Mahogany-brown with crisp white top. It gave fine contrasting appearance. Mild, sweet, grainy aroma, creamy nose with light roast character as it warmed up. Full bodied, sweet malts, brown sugar, creamy texture. Mild soft roast. Not as clean as I wished to be. Slightly sour at the edge.

I had it on cask. The color is dark amber with a beige head. The aroma is of caramel and some hops. What was missing is something in the taste, it left me with a watery feeling. I will try it again to see if it was just this one time.

A very refreshing pleasent summer beer. Very mild in taste dispute being 6% in alcohol. Has a slight hop betterness, with a slightly sour taste. Aftertaste is somewhat wooden, likely from the cask. A nice beer... to bad the rest of the beers don’t match up, the White Tail is worse than vitually any macros swill

Bu sur place (20 oz), en cask. Ambrée foncé, bon collet. Légé arome d’houblon un peu amère. Son goût est plus a,éere qu’houblonneuse. Passable.

Cask at the brewpub. Pours a hazy dark copper with a small lasting off-white head. Very mild aroma of faint floral hops. Flavour’s hoppy and fruity with a hint of metal in the bitter aftertaste. Light bodied. I liked it but I found it just O.K.

A nice brownish tinge with a head and a process of lace, however near watery with bitter and metallic taste, and significant malt in the finish. Its drinkable, but the formula works better on tap

On cask, at the brewpub. My hometown is 45 minutes away from here, and I am there often, and I just got out to this place this past week. Go figure. Anyway, the pub itself was fantastic, the food was good and the beer was solid for the most part. This was my first pint and I have to say it is far better than the numbers here would suggest. Very dark brown, with a creamy (sparkler?) off white head - looks great. Some malt and slight hops in subtle aroma. Creamy mouthfeel borders on thick. Nice traditional cask Bitter taste - malt, lots of fruit notes and some complimenting hops. The fruity finish is probably more flavourful than the first half. A pint of this compares very favourably to the best Ontario cask pints like those found at the granite or Durham. Nothing spectacular to get the numbers way up, but if lived in Kingston, this would be my cask ale session pint. Kudus to the BrewPub for this fine offering.

UPDATED: OCT 31, 2010 UPRATE - OK I’m a sucker for this when its on, although it can be off. Tonight’s was great. wonderful cherry and apple fruit, equally worthy aromas -- ORIG RATE - Cask. Deep clear reddish brown with nice ring of head. Extremely fresh and tasty with nice texture. Flavor much stronger than aroma - a big, delicate middle of malt suggesting fruit, perhaps dark ripe cherries. Not offendingly earthy for me. Will drink again.
