COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Dampen er eit lyst koparfarga øl bryggja etter gammel amerikansk tradisjon. Dampøl var vanlig i San Fransisco på 1800-talet, og det var gjæra i grunne, opne gjæringskar slik som vi brukar på Kinn Bryggeri. Ølet har moderat fruktigheit frå gjæra, karamelltonar frå malten og frisk aroma frå rikelige mengder Northern Brewer humle. Det er korkje pasteurisert eller filtrert og har difor gjærrestar på botnen. Bør lagrast ståande og serverast kjellerkaldt (8-10 grader C). Lat gjæra bli att på flaska. Passar til middels kraftige kjøttrettar og spekesild.
Ølet er bryggja spesielt til Fjordsteam 2010 i Florø 5-8 august.

On bottle from Meny Grønland. Golden color, good foam. Good fruitiness in aroma combined with well integrated hoppy flavours, also some caramel in aftertaste. Light body & complexity. Ok bitterness-Well balanced Enjoyable

Bottle. Pours a dark gold colour with a thin white head, aroma is light and hoppy with hints of fruit especially orange, the taste is medium bitterness with and soft with a dry bitter fruit finish.

0,33l bottle. My first "California Common". Still not sure what to expect. Cloudy, amber/golden colour. Minimal white head. Malty and mild aroma, reminiscent of a non-alcoholic brew. Slightly astringent, metallic, kinda flat. Not good. Just a hint of hops way in the background. This could have been a below average low ABV.
