(gotten from Vinmonopolet Kirkenes during AIH40). Deep reddish golden colour, small white head. Aroma is fruits, raisins, some toffee, mild wood and alcohol. Flavour is quite similar. Nice old school British style BW.
Bottled, from Systembolaget. Clear mahogany colur, flat without head. Aroma of salty dates and toffee. Sweet with full body and rounded mouthfeel. Soy sauce and caramel. Richly malty, but still young and toffeeish. Peppery finish with salty resiny bitterness. Rasmus40 (21055) - Beder, Aarhus, DENMARK - MAR 10, 2016
Bottle from Systembolaget. Hazy reddish brown with a tiny off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, caramel, dried fruit and alcohol. Flavor is very sweet and moderate bitter. Sweet finish with lots of warming alcohol. Oily and a bit sticky. I prefer my Barley Wines less sweet or at least with a balancing bitterness. 100316 TBone (17589) - Pori, FINLAND - NOV 18, 2015

Dark ruby color, not much head. Aroma has toffee, alcohol and bread. Full-bodied. Toffeish, warming, liquorice, quite strong grassy hoppy bitterness in the aftertaste. Lowish carbonation. Kind of old skool barley wine. Ok. In one year not much change I believe.

On tap at Nærbø Ølfestival 2013. It’s a lightly unclear one, dark golden in color and with a small, dense, off-white to beige head. The aroma is quite syrupy, with peaches, some alcohol and a generic fruityness. Bitter, fruity flavor with peaches, pine cones and alcohol. Not much warmth considering the alcohol, full body. Lasting finish. A beer that would do good from some ageing I guess. 131019
