Bottle, 75cl. A gusher, producing an unclear, brown body and a foamy, two-finger head. Pleasant nose with roased malts, some chocolate and coffee and notes of hops. Big, malty flavor with chocolate, roasted malts and a little bitterness trying to bring balance. Not that it’s balanced, but it’s very tasty anyway. Full-bodied and nicely carbonated. A pleasant and tasteful beer indeed, but it didn’t bring thoughts of Christmas. Not that I will refrain from drinking it just because of that. 110311 Dedollewaitor (16055) - Odense, DENMARK - JAN 29, 2011

750ml bottle, brygg nr.42, from Fenaknoken. Light brown head that stayed well and left spotty lacing to the glass. Partly cloudy, dark-brown body. Aroma displays chocolate and caramel malts. Fine blended taste of brown malts, raisin hints and dusty hops. Rounded bitter sweet tail. Medium bodied. Pity that it is not more widely distributed in Norway. Would have been perfect with our traditional Yuletide food. (at my hotel room in Oslo, 25.11.2010). Meilby (11364) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - JAN 29, 2011
