COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Julefred er eit mørkt koparfarga øl i skotsk stil. Ølet har moderate mengder humle for å gje rom for ein rik maltsmak med karamell og litt rosintonar. Det er bryggja spesielt med tanke på salta og tørka julemat, men høver óg som sjelevarmar for ein frossen skrott.

Julefred er korkje pasteurisert eller filtrert og har difor gjærrestar på botnen. Bør lagrast ståande og serverast ved 10-12 grader C. Lat gjæra bli att på flaska.

Gusher. Huge beige head. Hazy reddish amber body with strong carbonation and small floaties. Earthy spicy aroma is sort of flat. Dry-sweetish roasty earthy chocolatey taste with fruity resiny notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, faintly oily mouthfeel. Dry roasty nutty spicy aftertaste with earthy chocolate notes and faint mealy coffee grounds. Nice, but unspectacular. (0.75l bottle, Fenaknoken, Oslo. Deep red murky, big tanned head. Smells of malts, yeast and caramel. Taste is quite malty with a nice sweetness, also some grain. Quite dry on the palate. Finish has nice tones of bitterness from both hops and malts

Bottled (shared by omhper, thanks!). Amber colour, small off-white fluffy/bubbly head. Aroma is fruity, a bit wooden, resiny and sappy with quite strong caramel notes. Flavour is wooden, mildly toasted toffee, some caramel and a bit fruity as well. Pleasantly bitter flavour.

Bottle at Danish Ratebeer Summer Gathering 2015, Ulfborg. Pours clear amber brown with a bubbly ring off white head. Aroma of malt, caramel, Christmas spice, cinnamon and nutmeg. Flavour is over moderate sweet and light moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
