COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

A decent Bitter, very welcome alternative to the standard Lagers available in Norway. I liked the tender bitterness.

On tap at Elefanten, Bergen. Has a hazy dark straw colour with a creamy light beige head. Aroma of hay, grass, white bread and citrus. Flavour of cooked vegetables, grass, sweet corn, herbs, lime and grassy hops. Has a slick mouth feel, light to medium body and light bitterness. A malty ale and has a little strange flavour.

Bottled, from Coop, Kaupanger. Cloudy pale golden, rich head. Canteloupe and hay up front. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Fruity with crystal malt, canteloupe and hay. Mid bitter finish. American style interpretation of ESB. Lacking drinkability and malt character.

[email protected], Copenhagen - golden pour with white head. Light toasty malty, some caramel sweetness, straw, twiggy and herbal hoppy action into the finish. Rather watery body, not doing much for me this. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
