   AROMA 7/10   APPEARANCE 5/5   TASTE 7/10   PALATE 3/5   OVERALL 14/20
ClarkVV (6066) - Boston, Massachusetts, USA - JUN 6, 2016
750mL bottle from cogo, drunk 5/30/16.
Lovely pink and beige color shows good clarity and a rose-tinted head that is large and falls slowly to cover.
Tart fruit skins in the nose combine with plentiful black pepper-like phenols. Dry, dusty, mildly fruity house character, as well. Very, very tart and the fruit used, while seemingly a berry and an acidic one at that, is difficult to pinpoint exactly.
Intensely bone dry, tart but brightly fruited flavor has a touch of wheat-like softness and very tight, creamy-like carbonation. Pepper, herb, biscuit and hard mineral linger on the finish with a poignant, berry-like acidity. I love a bone dry beer, but this is really pushing it.
