Nutty, chocolate flavours, with a sweet slightly dry finish. Coffee or cola colour, little head and quite thin feeling in the mouth. Ok, but not spectacular.

33cl bottle from Beer52.com. A dark cola coloured pour with a tight beige head; aroma of coffee ground, with a hint of chocolate; rather thin in the mouth with a coffee taste and some burnt sugar; then a disappointing soft woody bitterness, and nothing in the way of a finish.

Bottle, pours dark brown, small tan head. Aroma is chocolate and caramel malts, molasses. Medium bodied, creamy texture thinning out to a balanced dry finish. Carbonation is almost flat.

Chocolate and coffee all around in the nose and mouth, along with hints of red wine, nuts, and smoke. More reminiscent of a stout than a brown ale, though it is certainly not as thick in consistency as a stout. Next to no carbonation. Tastes like it should be more alcoholic than it is. Quite enjoyed it though.

An ok mildish ale that looks and tastes brown. Absolutely nothing special. But fine.

Bottle at home. Light brown, light head. Malty grains, thin coffee, roast. Light bitter, a bit young and could do with some mellowing. Enjoyable though! Liked the heavy malt usage

330ml Bottle - Dark brown with a foamy head. Blackcurrant, brown sugar and some roasted notes in the aroma. Fruity taste with blackcurrant, plums, raisins, chocolate and some roasted notes. Nicely balanced.
