330 ml bottle from Takashimaya @ Nagoya station. Pours light yellow, looks a bit watery but has nice foam. Has some carbonation. Aroma has a bit of malts, feels fresh although there is a bit of cardboard too. Taste is crisp, bitter and spritzy. Not bad as a pilsener although it could use a more solid body.

shoulderbroken (4255) - Tokyo, JAPAN - NOV 16, 2014
Bottle from Nagoya station. Aroma is a bit creamy, grassy hops, herbal. Taste is alright, crisp, little bit of sweetness, something a little strange. Got a macro feel to it, but it’s alright.

TBone (17533) - Pori, FINLAND - JUL 18, 2014
Bottle (bought from Gifu)
Golden color, decent white head. "Green", hemp-like hoppyness in the nose. Light to medium-bodied. Harsh hoppyness in the flavor. Hoppyness is quite "green", raw pellet like. Unbalanced German-type pils.

maekchu (3911) - Hirakata, JAPAN - JUL 1, 2014
Bottle. Nose of corn starch, grain, and some minimal wet cardboard. Clear bright gold straw color. Sweetish malty initial, grass, and heavy bittering. Thin-medium body (a bit thick). Very hard bittering for a pils. Okay. Label touts its gold prize in the Japanese "International Beer Competition."

Westkyoto77 (635) - Kyoto, JAPAN - SEP 5, 2013
Bottle. Poured bright gold, rough tall head. Musky aromas of hay, corn and wet hops. Medium body, fine carbonation. Quite tart and bitter, but not unpleasant.

KansaiBeerLvrs (5153) - Kyoto, JAPAN - JUL 31, 2013
400 yen from the Kintetsu department in Kusatsu. A nice clear straw gold pour with a thick fluffy head of foam that lingered & leaves lots of lacing behind. The aroma is grassy with a sharp noble hop bite. Light body, a bit rough mid-mouth but a very bitter finish. It is ok but the bitter finish is really ascerbic, not for me. It is ok but too bitter & not smooth enough for a pilsner. I prefer their miso beer.
