At a tasting, thanks, smallish bubbly head, quite clear dark orange color, shrubby green aroma with some biscuit in the back, sweet jammy and biscuit flavor with some herbal tea notes, light to medium bitterness. Drinkable but not too exciting.

Bottle sample at a tasting at Maxs place. Thanks Naama. Golden. Aroma of malt, grains, caramel, a bit of floral hops, slightly stale. Sweetish flavor with malt, caramel, a bit of biscuits, and bitter floral hops, slightly stale. Medium-bodied.

jmgreenuk (8438) - Kuala Lumpur, MALAYSIA - NOV 4, 2016
Bottle at Takumi Craft Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a cloudy reddish amber with little life. The aroma is woody resin hop, light citrus fruit. The flavour is moderate to strong bitter with a rich, crisp, refreshing malt, resin hop, light pepper spice palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation. Its all about the hops and not really one for a session.

Wombata (622) - Kobe, JAPAN - FEB 6, 2016
Bottle with 7/04/2016 drink by date. Aroma: Earthy, herbal and banana. Palate: Full-bodied. Flavor: Caramel, Big dried fruit--orange, mango, maybe berry and banana and later orange on the finish. Comment: I wonder if the banana character is intentional. Sweet attack is quickly toned down some by the bitter hop. Very concentrated malt. I didnt expect this from a Japanese brewer. Like a double IPA/barley wine blend. The aroma is a bit reserved.

Bottle. Cloudy orange brown pour with a nice white head. Citrus, floral, pine, bread. Medium pour and carbonation. Slight bitterness. Seems light for a 7% but better than many japanese IPAs

Draught at Soul Bird. Sweet caramel mixed up with green hops, not much else, bittersweet finish. Quite bland and unbalanced, hasnt improved at all since last time I tried it.

BuckeyeBoy (6549) - Boise, Idaho, USA - MAR 3, 2015
330ml bottle pours out a copper color topped with a tan sand head. Nose is old cereal malts and and a touch of grassy hop. Taste is pretty much all malts and a tad of hoppy bitterness on the end.

Tim Webb (402) - Bristol, Gloucestershire, ENGLAND - FEB 24, 2015
33 cl bottle at Ji Biru in Singapore. Too heavy (7.4% in true life) for a simple IPA, English or American, so flawed. Bitter-sweet approach and finish. Rammed with grain. Tangy at the back. Oooooooooooooh, all to complicated.

Kinshachi IPA on tap at Craft Beer Man - I was sure Id rated it before. A clear ruddy red pour with a thick beige head and a woodsy one bark like aroma. Medium-light bodied with an earthy pine bark bite and some residual sweetness in the finish. Quite nice.
