Bottle, at Miga in Champain. Hazy reddish amber, beige head. Quite vinous, with Pinot noir character and light malt, slightly musty. Very interesting, nice.

Bottle. Copper pour with a nice white head that dissipated quickly. Caramel, wine, oak, red miso. Medium body. A lot of red miso umami and sweetness throughout. Pretty nice

This lager is more bock like than I exepcted. Some sweet malt flavour, but the red miso didnt jump out at me as much as I thought it would. Took me till nearly the end of the glass to really get its aroma and flavour, seemed a bit lost in the malt flavours. Burt overall a good, easy drinking beer from a micro in Japan.

Tasty and with a light fragrant. Start with a light touch of sweet Miso that is overwhelmed by bitterness over growing.

Bottle from my wifes relative in Nagoya, Japan. A dark amber coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Fruity, caramel aroma. Tastes fruity, caramel, malty and yet very Japanese. Couldnt really detect the red miso though. An interesting brew that is quite hard to describe, enjoyable nevertheless.

Nosing: sweet caramel malts, a hint of red wine. Visual: pours light cola brown, decent foamy lasting head, good retention, sticky lacing, several active singular streams. Taste: root beer, toffee malts, caramel, barley malt, 6/10-sweetness, red miso depth. Palate: fizzy-crisp, medium bodied, low hopped bitterness, sweet caramel finish. Overall a good sweet dark lager with a mild miso twist; couldnt identify it as miso without knowing. B-.

@ GJBF 2007. Reminds me of a weizen, but with something added...like miso (I guess). Banana and sweet malts, with some yeast. Spices are noticeable in the flavor, but the miso adds something Ive never experianced before. Really interesting. Not bad, actually.

Bottle. Aroma is mostly caramel, with lots of lager. Caramel and toasty taste, some savouriness, dry lagery finish. Not bad!

Copper pour with a thin pale tan head. Toasty, slight toffee aromas; slightly winey, caramel taste cut with a bit of salt. Not bad

Bottle at Takumi Craft Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a murky medium reddish brown with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is resin hop, treacle, light fruit. The flavour is moderate bitter light sweet with a smooth malty yeast light resin hop bitter palate. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
