Bottle at Takumi Craft Bar, Kuala Lumpur. Poured a murky medium reddish brown with a thin broken off white head. The aroma is resin hop, treacle, light fruit. Hazy amber color. Soil, beans, caramel, moderately sweet. I don’t see the point.

330mL bottle, pours a hazy bright red amber with a small off-white head. Aroma brings out the miso notes upfront, with lots of bubblegum, some herbal notes, and toasted bread. Flavour is sweeter than I expected from the nose, with toasted caramel and bready notes, maybe a little bubblegum. Not getting any of the miso notes. Pretty solid, if unremarkable beer. Has a nice light brown colour, though not much head. The aroma is mostly caramelly, not overly complex. Very light body. Touch of red miso character though it is a bit understated, lends a little bit of umami. Pours a ruby colour with an off-white head. Aroma of caramel and bready malts. Tastes fairly umami and malty, with no bitterness to balance the sweetness. Not bad, just weird.
