Can. 2013 version. I got peppery, spicy malt over a lively body. Strange metallic taste that lingered also. Alcohol well hidden, but conversely the added ingredients dampened the overall feel. What started as a solid bitter lager eventually fell into an abyss of starchy, spicy, over-carbonated mess. minihame2 (654) - Oulu, FINLAND - SEP 12, 2013
Golden, light yellow body and a white head. Sweet aroma with cookie dough and some citrus. Mouthfeel is watery and the taste is also kinda weak. It’s pretty much what you would expect from an average lager. GoufCustom (2029) - HONG KONG - SEP 7, 2013

500 ml can bought at 7-Eleven in Metropolis Plaza, Sheung Shui.
Two-finger head and crumpety white foam which last for 1 minute; Small sticky lacing lacing and active carbonation; Strong sweet smell of lager malt, with rice, bread, very light wet cardboard and strawy grass; Medium sweet taste of malt, with rice, light bread, corn syrup, light wet cardboard, light liquorices, light alcohol, moderate citrus, and strong straw; Mid to Light body, thin with slightly slick palate; Mouth feel is a close to pretty rich body, somewhere in between a strong pale and premium lager. Strong and fairly chemical sweet corn syrup and light booze dominates, like a scaled down Euro super strength. Booze is light and testable, with knock-on come after 5 minutes. Typically cheap one for a 6% strong pale;
Hoppiness is surprisingly strong in strawy nose, notable taste in liquorices, citrus and very strong straw, but bitterness and astringency peters oout very fast for a hollow finish; Slightly dry after taste, quite sweet and boozy to mouth.
Comments: This is more like a powered-down version of Euro malt liquor: strong malty body and taste, very notable but not too overbearing adjuncts, and quick boozy knock-on, with some pretty nasty strawy hoppiness to boost. Not as bad as I feared, but still too sweet and chemical for me to like it. Once is enough.
Peppery grass aroma. Sweet malt, herbs, dry finish. Nothing too exciting but ok autumn brew, probably not Kirin’s best version. Bacterial (3005) - Twin Cities, Minnesota, USA - NOV 18, 2012
Can brought back by one of my students from Japan. I’m glad to try it, but it might have been better if it was confiscated at customs. Light yellow with a thick white head that dissipates quickly. Kind of a pilsner nose to it - a little yeast, a little bread. Drinkable, slightly bitter. I would tolerate this better after several small glasses of sake or as I am stuffing myself with sushi. I’m not sure what makes this autumn or special - might be nice to try it along side their regular beer. Except then you would need to drink their regular beer. <insert obligate USA chant here>

Can. Pours a clear yellow with a bubbly white head. Yeasty and sweet aroma, of malt, grass, and a hint of hops. Taste is crisp and bubbly, of yeast, malt, and a bit of hops. Lingering bubblyness. Very light, but not bad. maekchu (3944) - Hirakata, JAPAN - SEP 4, 2012
Can from local Yamaya store. 2012 version of this Kirin seasonal. Grassy malty aroma with just a touch of hops. Clear straw. 1-cm, white head, a bunch of bubbles streaming skyward. Sweet initial; light cookie sweetness in mid palate; balanced finish in which a little bit of hoppiness peeks out from behind the leaves. Thin body, but a little more full-bodied than the regular lager. This seems thinner and less malty than last year’s version. Saurononline (135) - Madrid, SPAIN - MAR 29, 2012
Strange taste, never tried anything really similar, but the final sensation it’s good shoulderbroken (4255) - Tokyo, JAPAN - NOV 16, 2011
From a can. Yellow gold colour with white head. Aroma, bit of caramel, bit of hops, little bit of spice. Taste is a bit metallic, bit weird grainy and a bit caramel, spiced apple. Hints of various flavours, but nothing seems to really come through to the front. Fizzy in the mouth. Not wild about it, too chemically and bland. Can, Chez Martin, Yonago, Japan, 22/09/1 (’rich taste of autumn’, apparently). Straw with a thin head. Almond and battenberg on the palate; vanilla, rubber...bog standard strong lager without a trace of autumn. Vomited coriander aroma.
