Can 350ml.

Clear medium yellow colour with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, white to off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, cereal, bread, pale malt, light cardboard. Flavour is moderate sweet with a average duration. Body is medium to light, texture is watery, carbonation is soft. [20131123]

A dark golden beer with a fast disappearing head. It has a very faint malty aroma. It’s not sweet but has a nice bitternes of a nice hop. A standard japanese pilsener.

oh6gdx (26487) - Vasa, FINLAND - MAR 5, 2005
Bottled. Pale yellow/golden, small white head, lacing. Maltish and a bit flowery aroma. Not much taste except for bitterness and a bit honey in the aftertaste. Pretty watery.

Papsoe (25062) - Frederiksberg, DENMARK - NOV 23, 2005
(Bottle 33 cl) British version by Charles Wells in Bedford. Comes as "Kirin Beer" at 5% ABV. Very pale golden with a tall, handsome head. Lovely hoppy, floral aroma. Light and a bit watery with only a wee touch of hops in the finish. But quenching all right. 230601

Can @ fonefan tasting. Clear yellow with a white head. Aroma is sweet, malty and light hoppy - straw. Flavor is medium sweet and light bitter. Dry and light bitter finish. 231113

Golden color. A strange note in the aroma. Reasonable body, some malt, correct balance. Ordinary palate, quite long.

rlgk (18850) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - NOV 1, 2003
Light golden with an ok head. A flat and thin lager. Watery, a little sweet, maybe some hops in it.

saxo (18738) - Højbjerg, Aarhus, DENMARK - DEC 15, 2005
Bottle. 5.0 % version called a premium lager - apparently the same as this one. Pale yellow. No head - it could have been a soda. High carbonation. Thirst quencher - but not one to drink and enjoy. Very watery.

Oakes (17815) - Vancouver, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 11, 2004
Light gold, with oversized bubbles and an anorexic head. Aroma mixes vauge continental hop notes with grains and background solvent notes (no big surprises yet, as this bottle was produced at the AB plant in Los Angeles). Very light body. Grainy palate with a sweetish edge. Unpleasant notes of higher alcohols hide underneath the DMS. The fizziness carries these unfortunate elements across the tongue with much more conviction than whatever malt might be present. Finishes quickly, but not quick enough given the stain all that corn left on my tongue.

TBone (17676) - Pori, FINLAND - JUN 11, 2004
Bottled (brewed by Charles Wells, ABV 5.0%, labelled "Kirin Beer" and "Premium lager beer")
My first Japanese beer. Lager yellow, quickly diminishing head. Lots of carbonation and big bubbles. Aroma is boiled corn. Watery and metallic with suprisingly good hopping and bready malts. Notes of corn can be tasted when beer warms. Slightly bitter and hoppy aftertaste.
