Can. Pours yellow, not that much carbonation, at least it does not stay. Nose has some wet cardboard, soaked wheat, grain and something artificially sweetish. Cucumber. Taste is grainy, watery and well, has a bit of bitterness. Quite lame and a bit boozy lager. Not something you can enjoy - but maybe drinking is possible when its really cold.

Can. Light golden small and mostly diminishing head. Light to moderate, malty and lightly sweetish, faint cardbord, faint metal and hoppyness..Body is light, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, faint cardbord, faint metal and hoppyness. Finish is short malty and lightly sweetish, faint cardbord, faint metal and hoppyness, light alcohol. Tastes really cheap. For the meek masses.

Huge soapy head. Creamy texture. Grainy aroma. Taste has some biscuits. Not overly sweet. Not a tonne of character, but not a total shitshow.

500ml can bought at 7-Eleven on Lock Road, Tsim Sha Shui.

Piss golden colour; Three finger head with soapy white foam which last for 4 minutes; Fair sticky lacing with fizzy small carbonation; Quite fragrant aroma of bready malt, with strong barley grains, floral, light sugar, light woody spices, thick bread, dough, lemon and grass; Close to light sweet taste of light lager malt, with barley grains, light grain spirit, very light cardboard, light floral, trace of molasses, light biscuits, light lemon, very light bitter hops and grass; Close to light body. Thin and slick palate; Mouth feel is pretty light lager maltyness in a thin yet sluggish body. Grain spirit taste is notable, taste of barley grains but feels empty. Light floral, and sweetness, light bready with thin lemon to round. Inoffensive but light!... Hoppiness is floral, light woody spices, lemon and grass in nose, same in taste but lighter; Bitterness is very light for an abrupt, very low astringent thin malty spirit finish; Slightly dry after taste. Very easy to mouth.

Comments: Compares to the fulfilling Yoru Nodogoshi, this one is back to the drawing board after the nice bready aroma - thin malt and thin hops with taste like a watery blackhole, although the dreaded spirits was pinned to the minimum with no off-tastes. Chuggable Happshu, but certainly nothing “Special”.

cereal, skunky, golden, clear, light sweetness, lightly sour, light body, thin feel, lively, astringent. Very grainy, with a hint of skunk. Thin, light sweetness. Tinge of sour. Rather sparkling and astringent. Surprisingly drinkable for something from the infamous Nodogoshi series, but not exactly a brew I would drink again by choice.

Can. Dull thin fruity nose with s slight bit of added spirits stink. Bright gold, with a fluffy white head. Sweetish initial, with grain, touch of spirits. Thin-medium body. This one puts a claim of 100% barley on the front of the can... but it has a healthy dose of added spirits. Not exactly terrible, but fairly innocuous flavor.

Can at the hotel in Tokyo - sourced from an offie, probably 7-Eleven. Pours crystal clear yellow, effervescent, with a foamy, white head. The aroma has some crispy pale grains, cereal, hay. Light sweet flavour with further basic pale grains, straw, cereal, white bread, low bitterness. Light bodiednwith average carbonation. Fairly clean on the finish with only mild metallic notes, further cereal and biscuits, hay, a lick of lemon peel, grain husk. Not a bad cheap lager.
