I’m always jealous that some Costco branches have far, far better beer than North Durham’s. But I can’t kvetch too much since my neighbor Jeff delivered the goods gratis and multiple ticks were had. I actually found Kirkland’s wit to be a little more palatable than some others, because instead of laying in the clove and spices super heavily, this one had a dry, bitter, lemony quality to it that went over well. greenhorn1 (850) - Mission Viejo, California, USA - AUG 19, 2011
Bottle. You can smell oranges and a hint of coriander. Pours a hazy orange with no head and a lively carbonation. Citrus dominates the flavor with some notes of spice. However, it is too watered down. Better than their other beers. Beerdrinker79 (2188) - Idaho, USA - AUG 5, 2011
12 oz. bottle- Pours cloudy orange with a one finger head that dissipates to a collar, aroma is orange rind, and a little coriander, not bad. The taste is orange rind, mildly bitter, a little tangy. Body is medium, carbonation is medium. I liked this slightly better than the IPA, although this has kind of a sour tangy taste, kind of unappealing, but still not horrible. Halfway through the glass, the beer looks bad, the head has almost disappeared, downgrading from a 3 to a 2, and the taste from a 6 to a 5. poisoneddwarf (2511) - Coeur d’ Alene, Idaho, USA - JUL 29, 2011
12 oz bottle into Hoegaarden tumbler. Pours a hazy orange with a fast disappearing medium white head; leaves a fine blanket of foam. Aromas include grain, gym bag, cheese, orange rind--smells a bit off. Taste is sweet and umami, and again, a little off. Carbonation is medium and the mouthfeel is pleasantly creamy. Overall, it’s not bad, it’s just, one more time, say it with me, a little off. The Kirkland IPA was weird, too. Addendum: beer goes downhill in a major way towards the end of the glass, lowering the score considerably. Also, if I was rating completely to style, the score would be even lower. strongpieman (1651) - Mount Airy, Maryland, USA - JUL 26, 2011
Mild orange aroma. Orange color, light white head, cloudy. Taste is a little off, not sweet. Finish is unpleasant. Overall just so-so.

Hazy yellow pour, foamy white head. Sweet, wheat, light coriander, yeast and light citrus. Not very good, I have not had blue moon for a long time, but this reminds me of it. Might be okay on a hot day with orange. tommeagher (222) - Jersey City, New Jersey, USA - JUL 16, 2011
Thin, golden brown, light, sweet, wheaty. Unremarkable, but really decent and drinkable. Wouldn’t be ashamed to serve this Costco brand beer at my home. BrewDad (5328) - Olympia, Washington, USA - JUL 16, 2011
Golden yellow, hazy with a thin white head. Nice Belgian white ale. Citrus aroma and flavors this finishes dry and quite nice. Fred82 (2315) - Québec City, Quebec, CANADA - JUL 15, 2011
12oz bottle. Thanks to beastiefan2k for this "bad homebrew".

Appearance : Hazy amber with small head that doesn’t stay around long.
Aroma : Coriander and grain with light yeast. Light peachy fruits. Wheat.
Taste : Wheat with grain. Light coriander and very light hops. Finish wheat and coriander. Light yeast. Weak finish.
Palate : Rather thin and watery. Soft carbonation. Too soft.
Overall : Quite boring. I tried pouring the yeast and got a few chunks... Flavor profile gained a little more depth but it’s still pretty boring. Light notes of banana bread appeared on nose and taste. A bad example of Witbier.
12oz bottle, brewed at Matt Brewing in Utica, This is a bad Wit. Its like cold coriander iced tea with some watery cereal. Not much else to add, its like bad homebrew.
