354ml bottle - thanks Steve!Ferris (16303) - Burnaby, British Columbia, CANADA - MAR 31, 2013
Sweetish caramel, fruity messy hopping, Golden orange, small scummy head. Toffee sweet taste, fruity. Sweetish slickness in the mouth carbonation quite high. Carbonic acid in the taste, some bitterness from hops too, a touch papery. Finish toffee too, late finish has quite resiny dry hops. Alcohol vaguely covered. Drinkable brew, but too fizzy.
Bottle - Overall a dissapointing beer that is only barely better than the huge macro’s. I would have expected some hops and bitterness but what I got was just bad. Not really worth the work to describe in detail, just avoid. Drake (14062) - Milwaukee, Wisconsin, USA - JAN 23, 2017
12 ounce bottle from Costco New Berlin. Slightly hazy gold, large foamy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of caramel malt, orange, citrus. The taste is grapefruit, orange, pale malt. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness. Decent. Dogbrick (13554) - Columbus, Ohio, USA - DEC 12, 2011
This beer pours a dark amber color with a medium thick and fluffy off-white head that evaporates slowly. Small sticky patches of lacing on the glass. Aroma of citrusy hops and malt. Medium body with flavors of piney hops, citrus and sweet malt. The finish is moderately bitter hops with a short and fruity aftertaste. Pretty average overall. slowrunner77 (12594) - Reno, Nevada, USA - MAR 26, 2015
again, a little too malty and generic. about on par with the pale, perhaps a touch better. good price, not good value.

Bottle from Kyoto Costco. Nice citrus hop aroma, with underlying caramel. Grassy, lemon. Deep copper color with a low, fine head. Nicely hopped, grass, citrus, quite bitter actually. Light caramel malt, with a long, bitter finish. A good old-school IPA, refreshing, clean, tasty and straightforward. By far the best of the mixed cas beers. Bottle. Beautiful appearance: deep orange colour, clear, with a thick dense gold-tinted head that shows excellent retention. Aroma is sweet fruity caramel. Flavour is again fruity caramel with an astringent bitter note in the finish. Very thin, anemic hop presence. Oh well -- looks pretty! GT (10002) - San Diego, California, USA - JUL 2, 2012
355mL at a party. Clear amber with a small, beige head. Nutty, soapy aroma. Taste is chemical heavy, nutty, soapy, tangy. Heavily astringent. Lots of lemon detergent. Ick. I always love a good dark amber ’pale’ ale. douglas88 (9572) - Portland, Oregon, USA - AUG 12, 2014
12 ounce bottle from Costco. Pours a ruby color with a medium white head. A sweet malty fruity nose. The flavor is light fruity hops, metal, nutty, cherries. Odd for an ipa. Not hoppy. An amber ale more so. Ok. bytemesis (9015) - Sunnyvale, California, USA - OCT 3, 2012
Bottle. Pours clear amber with a medium off-white head that leaves decent lacing. Aroma is metalic, pine and a bit of citrus. Flavor much the same, a bit of malt give light sweetness and medium metallic bitterness in the finish. Kind of meh...
