Poured a clear amber/copper with a fairly big head. Nice hoppiness and citris aromas. A decent IPA, but a decent brew at a great price.
Nice, ever so slightly hazy copper and bronzed coloured body with a nice, three centimetre tall off-white head that stays afloat for a while. Aroma of grass, light pine, some mellow citrus and a touch of flowers - a touch of malt also around, but not much else. Light to Medium-bodied; Strong grassy and herbal flavour at first with a relatively balanced malt kick and some light hop bitterness noticeable on the tail end. Aftertaste is a touch sweet, with a lot of herbal notes, dry hay and some grassy bitterness noticeable at the end. Overall, a nicely balanced beer that doesnít show like a typical IPA, but at the end of the day, isnít a bad option, especially for the price! Is this worth going out of the way for? Absolutely not. However, is it as bad as these ratings would imply? Definitely not. I sampled this twelve ounce bottle purchased as a full case (of course) at Costco in Pentagon City (Arlington), Virginia on 03-May-2017 for US$19,99/twenty-four pack, sampled at home next to Costco on 15-June-2017. tia (2160) - Sandston, Virginia, USA - JUN 11, 2017
UPDATED: JUN 11, 2017 Bottle. Mild bitter aroma with some perfume. Light bitterness. Better than I feared. BroSpud (2164) - , Massachusetts, USA - JUN 4, 2017
12oz bottle. Did not expect to like this one after being told that it was Costco beer but itís not bad. A pretty standard, west coast style IPA that is priced incredibly low. Not great but surprisingly drinkable. Aurelius (5294) - Tallahassee, Florida, USA - MAY 13, 2017
Clear, blonde, with a fluffy eggshell head. Standard US longneck, generic label. Bleh malt aroma. Malty up front, then the awkward hops kick and and start sticking to the sides of my tongue. Some caramel notes, some toast, some chemical/ketonic notes. A sticky bitter finish that makes you want to spit, or wash out with a different beer. So when you think about buying the mix case down at Costco, neither this nor the Session IPA, nor the Pale are going to please anybody thatís actually looking for these styles of beer at your tailgate. Donít be cheap. FatPhil (15965) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - APR 28, 2017

Sweetish caramel, fruity messy hopping, Golden orange, small scummy head. Toffee sweet taste, fruity. Sweetish slickness in the mouth carbonation quite high. Carbonic acid in the taste, some bitterness from hops too, a touch papery. Finish toffee too, late finish has quite resiny dry hops. Alcohol vaguely covered. Drinkable brew, but too fizzy.
Not a bad IPA. Light and crisp. The hops are grassy with a light citrus finish. Decent malt backbone. Courtesy of Ryan and Liz in 2017. handmuffin (37) - Wisconsin, USA - MAR 7, 2017
Brewed and bottled by Bricks and Barley Brewing Company in Stevenís Point Wisconsin. Served from bottle into glass at home. Pours deep gold in color, medium clarity with well developed white head. Fairly weak herbal hoppy and pale malt aroma. No fruit, citrus or resinous aroma detectable. Flavor is also mild: some earthy hoppiness and malty sweetness. Medium bitterness at the end. Medium bodied with mild carbonation. Overall a weakly flavored IPA with little in terms of hop aroma or flavor. Drinkable but completely unremarkable. 12 ounce bottle from Costco New Berlin. Slightly hazy gold, large foamy off-white head, good retention. Aroma of caramel malt, orange, citrus. The taste is grapefruit, orange, pale malt. Medium bodied, mild lingering bitterness. Decent. Onslow (1481) - Kalamazoo, Michigan, USA - JAN 6, 2017
Pour from a 12oz bottle. Crystal clear light amber brew with small fizzy head that quickly dissipates, though the crystal clear amber look is somewhat fetching. Aroma is very light resin and citrus hops. Maybe very-very-very light describes it better. Taste is extremely light malt up front - like lite beer light - with a underlying weak resinous bitterness. It ends with a very modest hops flourish and some emerging spice and citrus notes. It has the body of a light lager and the taste of a watered down IPA. The result is actually not unpleasant and its an enjoyable drink but it doesnít merit much of score since the main adjective Iíd use to describe this is "watery." Iím hard pressed to believe that this is 67 IBU. But - inoffensive + watery + decent underlying taste = an acceptable brew. ANd at less than a buck a bottle I canít complain too much.
FWIW - The bottles I have are labelled "Brewed & Bottled by Bricks and Barley Brewing Company, Stevens Point, Wisconsin."
