Cask at the Pure Bar and Kitchen, Birmingham . Poured a clear medium amber with a frothy white head. The aroma is nettle hop. The flavour is medium bitter with a lovely smooth woody resin hop spice pepper palate. Medium bodied with average carbonation.

DruncanVeasey (8226) - NUNEATON, Warwickshire, ENGLAND - MAR 27, 2014
Cask, Pure Bar, Birmingham, 26/03/14. Honey amber with a creamy white collar. Nose involves fresh resiny pine, leather and grapefruit. Balanced moderate pine and grapefruit overtaken by husky lingering malt and biscuit. Touches of smoke. Plenty of punch at the ABV- certainly more IPA than ESB.

The_Osprey (8010) - Richmond, Greater London, ENGLAND - FEB 14, 2014
Cask at Southwark Tavern. It’s a mostly clear dark orange, just slightly hazy, still, small white bubbly head. Smell - toned down orange, what I call ’cheesy’ hops. Body is medium, low carbonation, quite smooth. Taste is pretty nice - lots of tangy marmalade with an assertive musty bitterness bordering on sour. The resinous finish makes this a bit of a slower drinking experience. Decent.

AshtonMcCobb (6617) - Edinburgh, SCOTLAND - FEB 6, 2014
On tap at the Haymarket. Appearance - golden to amber with a nicely proportioned head. Nose - grapefruit pith and pine. Taste - lashings of grapefruit and green apple skin nicely supported by sweet malt. Palate - medium bodied with a big creamy texture and a long dry finish. Overall - good stuff.
