[cask at SIBA GNBF’11, Manchester] Deep golden amber pour with a decent white head from the sparkled festival. Phenolic aroma, unfortunately, although maybe some hop squeezes out on the nose as well. Big hop bitterness on the flavour – which thankfully is much nicer. Very bitter at the finish, dry as the hops come to an end. Decent stuff, despite the aroma [28102011]

Had this one at the 4th annual Lititz cask beer festival.

A - Pours golden amber orange with a small white head leaving little streaks of lace down the glass.

S - Smells of pine needles, fresh cut grapefruit, caramel and toffee sweetness round things out. Not the strongest but still pretty nice.

T - Starts off with a strong dose of grapefruit and citric hops quickly giving way to hints of the caramel and toffee sweet core of the beer. The balance is good but the smooth feel dissipates toward the end of the glass, leaving it a bit thin and lackluster.

M - Medium-Light body and flavor with moderate carbonation. It gets a bit thin at the end but the smooth, slightly bitter feel is enjoyable.

O - I enjoyed this one. It had good overall balance and the flavors worked well together. Glad I got to try this rare treat, at least in this country.

Hand-pulled pint in the Pure Bar and Kitchen, Birmingham on 30th Aug 2014. Poured a clear golden hue with a full white head. Piney, resinous hop nose and taste with a good bitterness from the start in the flavour. Malts hide behind the strong hop front. Dry finish and most enjoyable.
