Strykzone (7308) - Wood River, Illinois, USA - JUN 13, 2014
Sampled at Heritage Fest. Dingy gold. Some berry arona but not really enough. Flavor, too. Magain too light. As much malts as wheat. TheAlum (7164) - Aurora, Illinois, USA - JUN 23, 2014
Flight pour on tap at the brewery (Kirkwood, MO). Pours a pale straw hue, a bit of yellow glow on the edges with frothy whitish head stays as a spidery film, nice lacing overall. Aromas are blackberry syrup, a touch sweet with bready malts, gentle flaked wheat and earthiness. Sweeter juice elements provide the fruit, dominate. Initial is lighter end of the fold, some Koolaid berry, touches of sweetness. Gentle sugary fruit, touches of bread and flaked wheat. A touch taart but artificial. Backend has a bit of a filmy coating from the blackberry sweetener. Not good. Finish is a bit dry, bitter and odd. It’s drinkable but it’s not good and not representative of even a middling fruit beer. wlajwl (6750) - Quad Cities, Iowa, USA - APR 24, 2017
Aroma is blackberries, wheat and mild grains/spices. The flavor is blackberries, wheat, mild citrus, a hint of heat and a mildly spicy/grainy finish. vyvvy (6399) - Florissant, Missouri, USA - JUN 21, 2011
Sampled at STL Heritage Festival - Pours hazy yellow with a white head. The aroma has lots of blackberries and smooth wheat. Medium smooth body with restrained carbonation. The taste is much like the aroma with a nice amount of blackberries and it is lightly sour. The finish adds a little bit of spice. This was a nice fruit beer. Pour is a pale gold with a white head. Aroma is decent with lots of berry coming out. Flavor is weaker with only a fraction of the fruit there. Its more grainy than anything. Another fruit beer that smells better than it tastes. jandd1983 (4276) - Wentzville, Missouri, USA - JAN 30, 2011
On tap at The Highlands Brewery. Pour is a pale gold with a white head. Aroma is decent. Flavor is ok with only a fraction of the fruit there. Its more grainy than anything. One of ten in the sampler, not bad.

16 oz can pours golden with a white head. Aroma of malts, fruit , and yeast. Taste is yeast, blackberries and malts. esjaygee (3904) - Oak Creek, Wisconsin, USA - MAR 28, 2010
On tap at Highlands brewpub. Hazy yellow with next to no head and prominent effervescence. Aroma is very sweet with mild blackberries, yeast and malt. Taste of forced blackberries, sweet malt with a dry finish. Reminds me of those sea dog fruit beers that just aren’t that good. SledgeJr (3577) - Omaha, Nebraska, USA - JUN 8, 2010
Sampled at the 7th Annual Parkville Microbrew Festival on April 24th, 2010. Clear golden yellow color with a white head. Pronounced blackberry aroma (I’m not sure I could tell the difference between black or rasp. Just berrified for sure). Mild in flavor, but not watery. No odd off flavors of seeds, burntness, or syrup extract sweetness. Drinkable and benign.
