Bottle. Quite classic neutral bock, slightly sweetish, lightly alcoholic, honeyish malty and otherwise almost flavourless. Okay, drinkable.

33cl bottle. Pours clear golden colour with a huge good lasting off-white head. Aroma of grainy malt, a bit strong pale malt. Taste of sharp grainy malt, pale malt, a bit hoppy, boring!

Thanks to erzengel for the bottle! Pours golden yellow with a haze and nice white head. The smell is caramel, fruit, grain. The taste is caramel, fruit, circus peanuts ending with a touch of sweetness. Medium body with a bit of slickness.

--> Tolles Bier. Wie ich mir einen hellen Bock vorstelle. (Test vom 15.11.2008) --> 12,13,12,13,12,13 - 12,70

Bottle shared with McTapps. Easy going Bock with a decent malt aroma and less alc in the taste than you would expect. Nice one to end the evening.

I always wonder why the German bottle/label designs are always so uninspiring, ugly, boring and old-school when the beer itself isnt THAT bad....well here is another example. Deep golden colour with low head and smooth body. Nose of malt. Taste of rich, intense light malt, ripe grains, grass, hay, strong alcohol and roses. Easy to drink but just taht touch too much Bock; too dusty and boring in the finish. But overall a okay-kind of beer.

A nice malt forward beer with toasted carmel undertones and which does not overpower you with the higher alcohol. Actually flavor balances the strength pretty well.

Bottle. Fat fruity malt aroma with a flowery hop note. Golden, fine carbonation, whice lacing cream. Solid, light toasted malt base, sparkly mouthfeel, citric and flowery hop balance, good bitter finish which effectively cuts through the sweet start. Really well crafted moreish Maibock.
