Tap at 1020. Great hop nose-orange, cherry, apple, grass, a bit of caramel. Reddish amber color with a low head. Earthy amber malt flavor, dry, with chocolate, caramel, citrus, straw. Very earth and surprising, as I expected it to be sweeter and fruitier after the nose. Lots of hey. Very original and excellent. Seems quite different from last year’s reviews, and this is nowhere near an IPA, so I will change the style to amber ale. TimE (6005) - Tokyo, JAPAN - DEC 15, 2012
med amber color. Leafy, apricot nose. Smooth, med body, very big hop assualt. Well balanced. Big lingering finish. American red ale. Very enjoyable jonno (2852) - JAPAN - NOV 17, 2012
Can. Big toffee and citrus nose. Nice amber colour. Toffee, caramel give way to a moderate to heavy bitterness in the form of grapefruit. Doesn’t really go anywhere and a little by the numbers, but solid anyway. shoulderbroken (4255) - Tokyo, JAPAN - NOV 17, 2012
Tap at the Watering Hole. Amber clear colour, creamy gold head. Aroma ultra hoppy resinous, quite a bit of spiky malt too. Taste is nice. Very bitter, bit of bready malt in the background. Gingery kick to it. Grapefruity too.
