@ Meshu Center, Daimon, Tokyo. 6/30/12.
Clear with just a hint of light green. Black licorice and green apples, fruity . Nice slick feel to it, warming at the end. A very tasty sake!
At Saki Bar & Food, Smithfield. Transparent. Fine aniseed aroma followed by balanced licorice flavours. Nice and full-bodied. Very good. BückDich (5477) - McCall, Idaho, USA - OCT 28, 2008
Bottle: Pours a clear to off-white color with a light stickiness. The nose is sweet and fruity with lots of anise, light melon, coconut and banana. The flavor has a bit more koji and alcohol notes, but is still mild and very approachable. I like how the last two Junmais I’ve had from Kisoji really up the acidity to balance the sweetness (or vice versa). It makes for a more masculine sake with more body, but still has that fruity accent on the tip of the nose. A dose of umami in the tail. Lovely. Thanks Tim!
