@ Copenhagen festival 2011. The aroma has roast, liquorice, coffee, bacon. Black coloured beer with a beige head. The taste is roasty, bit sweet, bit bitter, has coffee, smoke. Very nice. Rune (12595) - Tromsø, NORWAY - OCT 4, 2011
Draught at Olympen, happy eating and drinking with my nephews. Opaque, near-black body, tiny beige head to the rim of the glass. Prominent aroma of peaty malts, ashy dry. Chocolate malts underscored by a peaty backbone. Dry rounded on the swallow. Harmonious and far from heavy to drink (Oslo, 26.09.2011). laiti (8374) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 24, 2011

Aroma has lots of liquorice and some smoke. Flavour has very much liquorice, which is slightly salty. Some smoke, chocolate and hints of ash too. One of the best baltic porters I’ve had. At the end of the glass the salt becomes too dominant though.
Tap. Pours dark chocolate brown with a thixk thin head. Almost black in the glass. Smoky chocolate aroma. Same in the taste. Not Bad. lusikka (7813) - Tampere, FINLAND - SEP 17, 2011

Dark opaque brown color, small off-white head. Bamberg-smokey, a bit toasted aroma. Medium-bodied. Sweetish backbone, some sweet licorice and Bamberg smoke. Quite pleasant and balanced. Not too alcoholic despite of ABV.

Dark brown color, almost black; generous head. Nice smoked aroma, burnt wood, cream. Good body strength, and smooth mouthfeel; caramel flavor, chocolate, light liquorice and smoke; correct bitterness; a bit less interesting at the end, but indeed quite good.
From tap @Bishops Arms, København. Pours an opaque dark brown to near black, topped by a low tanned head. Ashy and smokey, heavily roasted malt aroma. A note of creamed caramel. Medium sweet malt body. Roast, smoke, licorice and bitter coffe tones. Noticable hop bitterness. Medium full, softly carbonated. Roasty, tarry and smokey endnotes. A powerfull one, not very moreish.
