Tap at Øl Festival, Copenhagen, 2011: Brown with beige head. Gentle aromas of coffee and campfire. Sweet malt flavor with dark roasted tones of toffee, coffee and smoke. The smoke is balanced very clean and smooth with a medium hoppy bitterness. Fine drinkabillity. Dry, medium bitter end with notes of licorice and chocolate. ekstedt (6929) - Göteborg, SWEDEN - MAY 29, 2011
Draught at the Danish Beer Festival 2011. Roasted aroma with clear smoked notes. Medium bodied and smooth. Semi dry with medium bitterness. I could really have liked this without the smokiness. altonbrownd (5897) - Chevy Chase, Maryland, USA - MAY 28, 2011

On tap @ Beer Temple. Dark redbrown color with beige head. Aroma’s of smoked fish with honey-sweetness to balance that out. Flavor is rather sweet with smoky notes. Medium bodied. Finishes dry, but only mildly bitter and still smoky. On the sweet side but that balances nicely with the smokiness.

Medium beige head. Deep dark hazy red body is just barely translucent. Wood smoke and toffee aroma, very clean and vivid. Dry-sweet roasty smoky chocolate taste with mealy licorice notes. Mid-to-full body. Clean, fresh palate. Dryish chocolatey licorice and nutty wood smoke aftertaste. Delicate and drinkable. Long earthy finish. Tap @ Ørsted Ølbar, Cph.gunnfryd (15086) - Kristiansand, NORWAY - APR 27, 2011
Pours deep brown chestnut with a small, beige film head. Heavy meaty smoke aroma, some chocolate, caramel and roasted notes attempt to create balance. Lowish carbonation, great dry and rather creamy palate. Flavour is quite lovely, still lots of smoke, but a fine and rather astringent roasted malts note does create some balance. Some chocolate, rather grainy, malty dry bitterness. Yum.
