COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
English: Heavily hopped with 50 % US and 50 % NZ hops, for a dry, clean and intensely fruity DIPA. The explosion of citrus, passion fruit, peach and apricot flavors wraps the intense hop bitternes in a highly seductive way. Think ’This is my idea of the ideal fruit bowl!’

(21.0 % P, 9.0 % ABV (first batch at Sigtuna), 100 IBU, Colour ~ 15 - 20 EBC).

jkwood04 (5472) - Connecticut, USA - OCT 15, 2012
22oz bottle in a tulip. Pours copper with a lacy, light beige head. Aroma of citrusy and bitter hops with some caramel and pale malts. Flavor the same, but there are not enough malts to balance the hops. Average texture. A decent beer, but not the best of the style.

mrmartin (786) - New York, New York, USA - OCT 8, 2012
Hazy amber pour with thin off-white head. Nose is dry and hoppy. front is a little sweeter than expected definitely fruity citrus, pinapple... Watery body, sharp on the tongue. Lingering bitter finish. Goes down smooth enough for the abv.. Kind of forgettable though. ’This is my idea of the ideal fruit bowl!’ REALLY? WHY?

Hmmmm... bomber from Sam’s in Durham for $6.99. Sounds good. Pour looks good. Nose is super sweet and malty, as is the taste. Not really hoppy except for some sweet tropical fruits. Or more hoppy like a mild pale ale, only boozier. A bit earthy/tea-like. Bone dry, bitter finish, but not in a good way. Super average. Bummer.

Pours a dark amber colour with a frothy whte head. Wonderful floral and fruity aroma. Hints of pineaple, green bananas, spices and pine. Spiced flavour with a note of caramel, some light hint of grapefruit too. Medium sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, oily feel, soft carbonation and a nice refrshing dry bitter finish. Good one. Nice design of the logo and name (the danes always breaking balls with the swedes, :)

JCB (3999) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - SEP 20, 2012
Bomber from Sam’s, Durham. Reasonably priced for a Scando import these days, and enthusiastically recommended, so took the plunge. Overall, a decent DIPA but nothing crazy good. Pour was handsome enough, a deep vibrant orange with silk on top. Nose was pretty dry, maybe a healthy dose of Columbus in there? Moderate fruit notes in there for sure but overall quite sere. Decently lively mouthfeel brought out just a bit more in terms of lively flavors, and there were some tropical fruits in there before the dry finish shuts the door.

Draft at Farmer’s Cabinet with Pat. Pours a deep hazy amber body with thick white lacing. Aroma is sweet hop, spice and malt. Active carbonation with notes of bitter grassy hops. Somewhat plain.

reggiedunlop (3726) - The dub c, Pennsylvania, USA - SEP 2, 2012
Pours a clear amber with a medium lt tan head. Aroma has lots of malt backing...fruity with caramel and tea...candied fruit. Flavor is loaded with candied fruit...tastes like red twizzlers...and a touch of caramel...tea...earthy bitter. Mouthfeel is full and the finish is earth bitter/candied fruit. Bleh.

TURDFERGUSON (4068) - Durham, North Carolina, USA - AUG 30, 2012
Bottle. Deep amber with thick, steady ( approaching meringue), creamy head with some sticky white webby lace. Very difficult to pinpoint anything from the nose and I have let this beer sit on my coffee table for 15-20 mins before taking a sniff. Really just smells like nothing mixed with some faded hops, and a little mixed paper thrown in. Flavor is a mixed bag of sharp hoppy bitterness and a sweeter caramel, but mainly bitter, approaching ashy. Astringent lingering bitter finish that shows the heat a bit. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

visionthing (5599) - Tallinn, ESTONIA - AUG 7, 2012
On tap at Amundsen. Deep golden with an off-white head. Malty aroma with hops, alcohol, citrus. Sweet and almost liqueur like with quite low carbonation. Solid bitterness balances the sweetness to a certain degree. Spicy and bitter aftertaste.

Theydon_Bois (21480) - Hazlemere, the lower Xhitlerns, Buckinghamshire, ENGLAND - AUG 7, 2012
On tap at the Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell (Dec ’11), served in a half pint ’tulip’ style glass. Light orange to gold in colour, clear and with minimal head and lacing. Hoppy aroma and with emphasis on citrus notes, particularly grapefruit. Not the strongest teasting of double IPA’s, and not overly bitter/high IBU, but distinct citrus tang, as with the smell, predominately grapefruit. Mouthfeel - tart, refreshing, dry-ish aftertaste.
