COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Editor’s note: Previously called ’Kissmeyer West Coast Pale Ale’

English: Dry, crisp, medium malty body, medium smooth bitternes, big, fruity hop aroma and flavour. Think a bolder and more aromatic version of Sierra Nevada Pale Ale.

(13.3 % P, 6.0 % ABV, 35 IBU, Colour 20 – 25 EBC).

Bottle shared at jcwattsruggers. Poured a light gold/amber body with a foamy white average sized head. Aroma of honey, toast and green grapes. Body is nice with a medium mouthfeel, fuzzier carbonation and a quick fading aftertaste. Flavor is a solid step backwards, dry cardboard, grains and straw. Meh.

50cl, at 6.5%Vol, as Kissmeyer Pale Ale, new exclusive Danish brew Anno 2011, thx to MadsNP!, not complex brew, fruity/malty and slightly bitter, easy to drink, balanced, cloudy, rocky head, nice brew

Bottle. My first Kissmeyer Beer, so expectations are pretty high! :-) Pours a deep bronze body with a coppery hue, crowned by a big bubbly white head. Aroma is fresh strawberries, overripe melon and hints of peaches, syrup and nuts. Very original and nice; like a combination of a brown and pale ale. Taste is earthy nougat-like tones, red berries and wet leaves. Hints of sweet biscuits. Hard to discern and rate really, as the flavors are blended very well. Smooth in mouthfeel, but somehow not very refreshing. This doesn’t strike me at all as an archetypical west coast APA. All in all a nice beer, but it lacks the winning edge and vanishes a bit in its own subtility. Still solid craftsmanship on display here.

50cl bottle from Vinmonopolet. Pours amber with a small off-white head. Fruity and malty aroma with caramel and hops. Sweet and malty with some bitterness. Medium body. Pleasant beer, but the name gave me higher expectations... Slightly citric and dry finish.

Thanks Wally for bringing this one out. Expiration date was first week in April. We opened it April 22nd. Poured into a Hill Farmstead Glass

A - Half-Finger yellow and creamy head. Light orange beer with some solid haze.

S - Vanilla, oranges, mango, hops, tangerine and cinnamon. Delicious smelling beer!

T - Fallen off for sure. hops were faded and rough around the edges. Cream, spices and oranges.Still very tasty.

M - 20/80 carbonation, dry with lingering hops and pepper spices

O - Solid C...perhaps a B if fresh.

Bottle from Vinmonopolet Nettbutikk. Cloudy amber colored. Low greyish-blond head. Nutty, marzipan-like aroma. A distant whiff of fruity hops. Medium body strength. Strange sweet flavor, like artificial sweetener. Malt-accented, with peppery caramel and nuts. Restrained fruity bitterness. Malty finish with a vague fruity bitterness. A decent beverage, but not a (West Coast) Pale Ale in my book.
