with caramelly notes. Dry-sweet caramelly dusty taste with
roasty grainy notes. Mid-bodied. Mild, soft mouthfeel. Dryish
caramelly chocolatey aftertaste with grainy dusty earthy notes.
Nice, drinkable, and understated. More of a brown ale than a pale
ale, if you ask me. (0.5l bottle, wine monopoly, Vika, Oslo.) Finn (7513) - Tromsø, NORWAY - JUL 16, 2012
Flaske 0,5l fra Vinmonopolet, Bestillingsutvalget. Drukket i heimen 16 Jul 12. Orange-brun. Litt uklar. Høyt kremaktig skum som varer en god stund. God fruktig aroma. Innslag av mandler. Lite kullsyre. Myk munnfølelse. Smaken sammensatt. mandler & aprikos. Svakt syrlig ettersmak. OK tørsteslukker - men også egnet som koseøl. Keg @ The Euston Tap. Medium amber color with a small white head. The nose is some orange peel, light grass, some confier, light toffee. The taste is pale malts, light orange and citrus fruit salad. Notes of caramel. Mild bitterness on the long finish. Smooth, easy to drink. Overall, a solid effort. Just OK. Not really my idea of a ’west coast pale’.
