bottle, either form Jonas or Biershop-Bayern. Clear red-brown colour, large beige head. Intensive hop aroma. Elegant dark malt body with caramel and roasetd malts, plus lots of very aromatic hops, resiny, lemony and slightly grassy. Unusually hoppy for a dark beer - this gives it an almost ale-like character. Travlr (25547) - Charlotte, North Carolina, USA - NOV 4, 2012

Draft at the brewery during the Bamberg Jolly of January 2014. Pours clear, amber-gold wit a creamy head. The beer holds sugary bread, some brown bread, toffee. Medium bodied with fine to average carbonation. Sweet finish with notes of toasted brown bread. Good one, if a little simple. kappldav123 (6122) - GERMANY - JUN 2, 2013
Bottle looks simple but really good. Beer in the glass a bit darker than exspected, nice head. Starts not as mild as exspected, fine malty-dry with some roasty notes. Modest bitter. Finish mild but not washy, fine spicy. Quite drinkable. Not bad! madmitch76 (25101) - , Essex, ENGLAND - FEB 8, 2014
