bottled. hazy orange, persistent fluffy head. fresh and wheaty aroma with traces of lime zest, vanilla and clove. every sip revealed a new flavour - wholemeal bread and butter, salted orange, almond meal. luscious texture - spritzy but then disappearing. plenty of tingling sourness, some rummy alcohol, a fantastic sour-dry finish. the best weizen i’ve tasted in ages

Bottled. Fresh and lively to the palate. Lots of yeast. Strong fruity and wheaty aroma. One of my favourite Weizen.

Bottled. Hazy yellow, brief head. Banana aroma. Deep bread papery maltiness. Quite dry and soft. Pleasant and refreshing. A good weizen.

UPDATED: OCT 10, 2012 This brew is extremely hazy on tap. It is about as unfiltered as it gets, it almost looks milky. The main flavor is clove. The funny thing is not one other rater here that has had it on draft apparently....

kapusil (1432) - Budapest, HUNGARY - FEB 13, 2014
On tap. Hazy orange body, nice long lasting white head. Aroma of cloves, banana and earthy hops. The taste is quite sweet, it reminds me of ripe banana, honey, bread and some fruity hops. This beer is really good. Not sure why the somewhat low scores.

Hermod (7844) - Vantaa, FINLAND - AUG 31, 2012
50cl bottle from Bierzwerg. BBE 09/2012. Poired hazy orange, creamy, lasting white head, looks great. Aroma has banana, candy and spicy notes. Lots of banana in flavor, wheat and clove. Yeasty, slightly sweet finish. Refreshing well made weizen.

Mortlach (2347) - Rome, ITALY - JUL 26, 2013
26/07/2013 Mad for Beer (tap). Dorata, opalescente, torbida, schiuma bianca abbondante e molto persistente. Corpo medio, carbonazione medio-bassa. Gran bella weisse questa!

Leighton (21232) - London, Greater London, ENGLAND - NOV 29, 2015
Draft at the brewery during the Bamberg Jolly of January 2014. Pours lightly hazy gold with a creamy white head. Quite tasty, although certainly basic. Some pleasant creamy wheat notes, semi-dried banana. Light bodied with average carbonation. Sweet finish, with light sugary wheat, some yeasty esters, mellow banana. Pretty well balanced and drinkable.

Bottle. Glowing, cloudy golden orange. Rich and malty, citrus along with banana and clove, rather full. Nice tartness to balance. Good.

Koelschtrinker (20395) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 22, 2017
Nekle, trocken alkoholische Nuancen. Gut. 12/10/10/11/10/11
