Bottle from local Yamaya. Malty aroma, yeasty, light plum notes. Dark copper-brown, 1cm beige head. Tangy initial, mid palate sweetens, final is malty with a little bitterness and some yogurt. Thin-medium body. Tasty enough, but the heavy yeast gets in the way.

Quite an enjoyable beer from Kizakura and definitely the better of the two beers from them that I've tried so far, this one seemed well balanced thanks to the caramel sweetness and subtle bitterness that featured throughout. It was an easy-going beer that came through stronger than a lot of the other Japanese craft beers I've tried recently, the boozy notes at the start of the nose being my only minor complaint with this one.
Can (as Kyoto Bakushu Brown Ale). Light amber, small and mostly diminishing head. Light to moderate, malty and lightly sweetish, faint caramel and bread, faint - light herbal hoppyness, faint barnyard. Body is light to medium, malty and lightly sweetish flavor, faint caramel and bread, light herbal hoppyness. Finish is short to average, malty and lightly sweetish, faint caramel, light herbal hoppyness. Aroma has notes of barnyard - body is quite thin. Clear medium amber colour with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, sweet malt, caramel, sugary, old malt, sour notes. Flavor is moderate sweet with a long duration, sweet malt, caramel, brown sugar. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. 
Botella. Light like amber colour, medium white head. Sweet aroma, malty with caramel, toasty, some fruit to it. Good mouthfeel. Flavour is sweet with toasty malt and caramel along with some fruit to it, mild to medium bitterness. Pleasant. Grumbo (3753) - Ipswich, Suffolk, ENGLAND - JUN 17, 2017
Bottle at Højbjerg tasting. Pours clear dark amber to brown with a bubbly off-white to beige head. Aroma of malt, bread, toffee, and fruit. Medium plus sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, above average carbonation.
