1.3 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 1/5 TASTE 3/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 5/20
Can of "Gold". Hazy, dull gold, light apple nose, not a lot of maltiness. Dull, yeasty, kinda sour. Just a poorly made beer, unimpressed.

2.2 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
330ml bottle (Pothouse, Tallinn)
Pleasant sweet fruity esters in the aroma. Pale, large frothy head. Slightly dry papery lagery taste, but not a pale lager per se. A bit watery palate. Slight breadiness. A bit papery in the finish. Another lager-gone-wrong experience.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at the brewpub. Fruity, with rather rich malt and a decent hop bitterness. Finish is dry, body and flavor rather light. Easy-drinking and enjoyable but not really exciting.

2.8 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 10/20
Can as Kyoto Pale Ale, blue label. Chill haze golden color with good foam. Nose is canned corn, creamed corn. Taste is fairly clean, mild citrus, good body, low acid, big breadiness. Fairly drinkable, but I thought this was a pale ale as in hoppy beer, but turns out that this is just the pasteurized version of their Kolsch.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
My Bottom Line:
A faultless Kölsch with a creamy mouthfeel, timid cereal flavors and crispy herbal hop bitterness will undoubtedly make a quenching pint, but this one recalls macro professionalism (and economy) from sip to sip.
Further Personal Perceptions:
-A veil of foam tops the deep blond.
-Light fruitiness recalls honeyed apples.
-Carbonation is lively and lifts the subtle flavor profile.
On tap at the brewery restaurant.

2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 11/20
33 cl bottle @ hotel room, kyoto. Production date 15.07.11
Aroma has slightly sweet, a bit cornish malt. Flavour is also malty, grainy and sweet, but slightly stale and harsh. Has also some sake elements like footsweat and rice. Drinkable.

Bottled 330ml. -from 8 a Huit Val Thorens. Unclear yellow/golden coloured, medium sized white head, some canned corn in the nose. Sweetish malty, bready, light grassy hops and notes of hay with touch of fruits in rather short and almost neutral finish.
