4 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20
UPDATED: APR 6, 2013 Serving: from bottle--purchased at Made in Oregon.
Aroma: moderately piney hoppy with hint of grapefruit.
Appearance: small, frothy, off-white, initial head with fair lacing and fully diminishing longevity. Murky, orange body.
Taste: lightly sour, grapefruit, initial flavor and moderate-to-heavily bitter finish with average duration.
Palate: medium body with dry texture and soft carbonation.
Overall: interesting. The sour initial flavor provides contrast for the bitter finish. I liked it.
notch 8 IPA (same vitals)...
a sessionable easy drinking ipa with a slightly more complex than usual hop profile. nothing really stands out, but it’s nice overall... Mora2000 (6158) - McKinney, Texas, USA - AUG 12, 2013
Thanks to bu11zeye for sharing this bottle. Orange pour with a white head. The aroma is full of biscuit malt and orange. The flavor is similar with some sweet biscuit malt, orange citrus, grass and flowers. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation. bu11zeye (13029) - Frisco (Dallas), Texas, USA - JUL 17, 2013

Draught. Red pour with white head. Much lacing. Aroma is pine and citrus. Well balanced flavour, this is not a hop bomb but a nicely balanced ale. Long hop citrus finish. UnionBeerCzar (82) - Michigan, USA - DEC 17, 2012
Bomber to Duvel tulip. Thanks Joe for trucking several cases of beer across the U.S. Pours a very deep amber wich a tremendous 3 finger white head that last quite a while, after it dissipates some excellent lacing is left behind. the aroma is a bit of a let down, it is piney for sure... but I really have to stick my nose in the glass and look for it. Definitely doesnt smack you in the face. Taste is dry/bitter without the complexity I expect in an IPA. Medium body, medium/high carbonation, light/medium bitterness. This just drinks in that grey area between APA and IPA and sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. For me this is not a disaster, but it is a No for me. Something is just off for me one this one. Bomber poured a clear reddish amber with a lasting amber head. Aromas of carmel, earthiness and light citrus. Palate was light bodied and crisp. Flavors of carmel, earthiness and light citrus with a crisp moderatly bitter lingering earthy finish. blutt59 (6564) - Dallas, Texas, USA - AUG 9, 2012

(22oz bomber thanks to bu11zeye) clear amber, lasting ring of fine white bubbles. Nose of agave, rye, spicy, light citrus zest, caramel. Taste of alcohol, spicy, almost hot, bitter grapefruit, creamy body, not my favorite. Olivernorth (1) - California, USA - JUN 22, 2012 does not count
I picked this up in Eugene. When I poured it I was pleased with the color and clarity. I was not anything special and I found the balance to be slightly off. Very drinkable and for 3 bucks I will buy again. (22oz)
