Zoals inmiddels bij elk bier van deze brouwer ben ik alweer de helft kwijt na het verwijderen van de dop. Wat een prutser. Ik koop niks meer van klein duimpje, ben klaar met de vloer dweilen. Mierzoet. goozen (4178) - Leiden, NETHERLANDS - MAY 4, 2014
Bottle 0,33 at Klein Duimpje, Hillegom: Dark brown colored brew with nicely dry bitter taste with hints of roasted malts and some caramel. MichaelAwesome (6546) - Wanne-Eickel, GERMANY - FEB 13, 2014
Average one with some yeast and hoppy moments. Maybe a bit vanilla and a bit too much carbo. Drinkable, classic piwo. McTapps (6984) - Reutlingen, GERMANY - FEB 12, 2014
Pours out of the bottle (thanks to Douberd!) in a deep brown colour with low head and medium body. Aroma of Belgian yeast and straw. Taste of hops, malt, Belgian yeast, caramel, torf and brown sugar. Easy drinkable but just nothing that special. Solid and good beer nevertheless. Christos (5909) - Arnhem, NETHERLANDS - JAN 28, 2014
330 ml FUCKING GUSHER of a bottle, into a tulip glass. ABV 7,5%.
Nice red brown colour on the body, hazy, with a tall beige head, froathy unfortunately with low retention and no lacing on the glass.
Aroma of dark fruits, caramel, ripe pears.
Taste is sweet with lots of dark fruits, caramel, light spices’ notes, banana. Alcohol notable, nutty finish and a mild bitterness on the aftertaste.
Medium thin body low carbonation, probably because it used it all to create a fountain while I was opening it.
A very good dubbel, but until they learn to make beers that don’t gush, the overall score will reflect that.

Bottled (as Dubbel on label, and referred to as Hillegomse Dubbel in the commercial description, also 7.5 %, same GTIN as this listing of Hilleghemse Dubbel). Hazy brown colour, huge beige head (actually a very lively bottle for being Klein Duimpje, so beware). Aroma is caramel, some toffee, mild roasted notes along with some alcohol and sweet nutty notes. Flavour i ssweet malts, toffee, some alcohol, mild alcohol and some yeastiness (mild spices). Actually quite tasty and nice (after the slight gushing that occurred and was a slight piss off). Backlog. Tap @ Botermarkt Bierfest 2003. Brown color. Aroma’s: malty sweet, caramel, fruity. Flavor is medium sweet. Medium bodied. No new flavors in the finish. Perhaps a bit (too) young. ShivanDragon (4704) - Leeuwarden, NETHERLANDS - APR 3, 2013
bij het openen van het flesje kwam het bier als een fontein omhoog !dutchbeerpages (2439) - Wilnis, NETHERLANDS - JAN 29, 2013
wat er overbleef was rood/bruin met schuimig witte kraag
aroma: hout, zoet, chocolade, caramout
smaken: medium zoet, matig bitter, matige gemout, hout, metaa, karamel, ietwat banaan, licht zurig
Interesting in that it is a very nice beer, but that the taste is probably the least interesting thing about. Awesome banana aroma and a nice slightly bitter aftertaste. Too bad some spurted out of the bottle.

Vast medium sized creamy off white head, changes very slow into a
Hazy murky brown colored beer.
Smell lots of caramel, some malts, toasted malts.
Taste is nice bitter with caramel, toasted barley malts, a light sour tint, liquorice wood, some hints of yeast, herbs and light chocolate.
Aftertaste is caramel, hops, grass, light bitter and some herby spices.
Very nice balanced and quite tasty especially with the light sour note.
Low to medium carbo, soft mouthfeel, good medium body and a creamy texture.
