Zwart & Straf Winterbier
Kleveretien: De tien slaat zowel op het alcoholgehalte als op het 10-jarig bestaan van onze bierproefclub "Orde van de zatte Mus". De ontwikkeling van dit bier is een zware bevalling geworden. In totaal hebben we acht proefbrouwsels gemaakt in onze hobbybrouwerij alvorens we pas echt tevreden konden zijn over het resultaat. Kleveretien is bijna zwart, maar heeft weinig tot niets van een stout. De smaak is overwegend kruidig met een toets van drop (steranijs), caramel en donker fruit. Op het einde komt de alcoholwarmte meer naar boven.

Bottle, pours black with a light beige head. Malty and yeasty aroma with dark bread, dust, liquorice, herbs. Taste follows with liquorice root, dark fruit and anise. Sweet, light to moderate bitterness, oily texture, lively carbonation.

Bottled from Belgian Delight Almost black with a tiny, tan head. Spicy and vinous aroma with balsamic vinegar. Sweet and roasted flavour. Chocolate, coffee, brown sugar.

Bottle. Very dark ruby color, big rocky head. Aroma is caramel, dried fruits, bread and cookies, roasty malt with hint of smoked plum. Taste is moderate dry and medium sweet. Flavor of roasty caramel, dried fruits, cookies. Nice and deep. Aftertaste is long, herbal with light bitterness and some alcohol note. Full body, oily texture, medium carbonation.

Bottle at Eulogy. Dark brown pour with soapy tan foam. Deep dark caramel malts. Pumpernickel bread. Plum pudding. Black currants. Molasses. Devils Food cake. Medium-full body. ABV is well hidden. Darkly sweet but not syrupy or boozy. Finishes very well. Not overly adventurous but impressively balanced. A solid quad.

Bottle tall boys beer market leeds. Bkack good tan head. Aroma is dark fruits bread mollases mslts taste same good roasted smokiness nice sweetness good hops. Nice full mouthfeel. Good stuff allround.

UPDATED: AUG 26, 2016 Kruidig, caramel, koffie en anijs in de nasmaak. Smaak spreidt zich geleidelijk uit over de tong met warme nadronk. Heerlijk mondgevoel! Teveel gecarboneerd, hoog alcoholpercentage komt teveel tot uiting in geur.

Dark amber/brown color; Medium creamy body; Aroma of yeast, caramel, floral, & dark fruit; Flavor of slight sweet malt, yeast, caramel, dark fruit, and some chocolate notes; Warm finish; Nicely balanced; Pretty decent.

Bottled (from Willems, Grobbendonk). More or less pitch black colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is liquorice, spices, alcohol. Flavour is quite similar, with some ripe fruits and dark berries as well. Wellbalanced and quite a pleasant surprise. Almost an imperial stout meeting a kind of Belgian strong "donker".

Poured a deep brown color with aromas of light earth, anise, some yeast and a touch of coffee. Flavors are light earth, anidmse, dried dark fruit, and some earth. OK overall.

Beer tasting @ fillepolo 8/8-15. Bottle from local kiosk, Brussels. Roasted malty with coffee, also some notes of dried fruits(in aroma). Body is medium, dry and roasted finish.
