Bottled (from Willems, Grobbendonk). More or less pitch black colour with a mediumsized beigeish brown head. Aroma is liquorice, spices, alcohol. Flavour is quite similar, with some ripe fruits and dark berries as well. Wellbalanced and quite a pleasant surprise. Almost an imperial stout meeting a kind of Belgian strong "donker".

Craft Islington bottle share. Thanks to Fergus. Hazy deep amber beer, good cream colour head. Airy palate, dry and with decent fine carbonation. Smooth sweet dry malts. Spicy esters. Ripe fruits. Dry spicy finish. Yeasty sweet.
Bottle 33 cl. Pours a murky brownish with loads of floaties and a creamy beige head. Aroma of dark, dried fruit, somewhat earthy and oxidized - very Belgian! Rich, sweet body, again figs and dates and mold - quite rustic. Some late roast and hops. Quite messy but still strangely enjoyable. 040413 Beerhunter111 (22268) - P´Castle, GERMANY - SEP 10, 2017
