Bottle courtesy of bierkrug, thanks! Hazy amber color, large thick beige head. Aroma of milk chocolate. Taste of malted milk balls. Interesting. Indutiomarus (113) - Idar-Oberstein, Rhineland-Palatinate, GERMANY - OCT 21, 2011
A really nice Dunkel from my home area. A nice deep malt flavor and something I will drink a lot more of. Bravo Snaps (16) - Ouddorp, NETHERLANDS - JUL 27, 2011
Good beer, with a choclate, coffee aftertast. Also a short aftertast, but a good germany beer. Koelschtrinker (22084) - Köln (Cologne), GERMANY - MAY 18, 2011
Wenig malziger Antrunk, der allerdings dezente Karamellnuancen aufweist. Wenig getreidig, süffig, später holzig und etwas erdig, trockener, das Malz zieht sich zurück. Mild, tirnkbar aber langweilig. 5/7/7/7/8/7

Very nice offering. I like it because I have never tasted anything like it. For starters, the initial rich bitter dark chocolate, and hints of cereal and alcohol, appearance is dark brown red hue, nice color. Taste is of bitter dark chocolate, bready, malty, toffee, roasting grain, a tiny bit of hops, wheat at the end with a wheat, malt, toffee palate left over, but nice. Overall, very nice, has a unique character. Try on if youre ever in the SW area of Germany.

Bottle, thanks Bierkrug! Cloudy orange-brown, golden head. Spicy roasted and citric aroma. Burned caramel, herbal citrus, orangepeel, bready notes. Chewy full body, light sparkly mouthfeel. Light sticky on the palate. Roast and citrus aftertaste. delnoche (516) - Alamogordo, New Mexico, USA - NOV 20, 2010
50cl bottle poured into a dimpled mug. Dark amber brown with plenty of creamy tan head. Aroma is malt and old basement. Flavor is very malty, strong oak, slight alcohol. Medium body, high carbonation. Finish is lasting, slightly bitter. Holy (897) - GERMANY - OCT 24, 2010
Shared with Bierkrug, on tap - thanks for the introduction to a new place! Roasted malts, slightly sour taste with sweet caramel overtones. Lasting aftertaste. Decent. shrubber85 (11710) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - OCT 9, 2010
Tap. Toffee malt, sour milk malt and hay hops aroma. Cloudy orange-brown color with small head. Sweet orange-caramel malt and moderately bitter fresh hay/grass hops flavor. Excellent - a dunkel that is fruity and hoppy. cgreb (422) - Marburg, GERMANY - SEP 3, 2010
bottle - hazy brown beer with abeige head. Very nice roasty caramel aroma. Flavour has a smooth maltiness and a very pleasant roasted touch. Discreet bitterness. Medium carbonation.
