Bottle shared at Chrisso’s May 2014 tasting 25/05/2014. Thanks to Matt. Hazed burnt orange coloured pour with a halo of off white head. Aroma is earthy, putrd rotting veg, poo. Tart apples, dark malts, off veg. What the fuck is this? Palate is sharp and highish carbonation. Undrinkable. shrubber85 (11322) - Greenville, Indiana, USA - OCT 9, 2010
Tap. Toffee malt, sour milk malt and hay hops aroma. Cloudy orange-brown color with small head. Sweet orange-caramel malt and moderately bitter fresh hay/grass hops flavor. Excellent - a dunkel that is fruity and hoppy. Erzengel (8615) - Wuppertal, GERMANY - JAN 8, 2015
Many thanks to Beerhunter111 for this 0,5l bottle. Best before 20.01.2015. Malty-smooth beginning. Fresh, easy to drink. A malty, slightly roasted and nice liquorice-dry aroma appears in the mainpart, but stays quite low below the quite dry malty body. The aftertaste is long, nice dry malty. Full-bodied, nice and round. Hints of nuts, dry caramel, not much sweetness. Great and refreshing Dunkel! Cuso (8611) - Bratislava, SLOVAK REPUBLIC - FEB 1, 2015
Bottle from trade with Beerhunter111, many thanks. Dark brown colored beer with huge beige head. Aroma of caramel malt, notes of coffee, bredy notes. Taste, sweet caramel, notes of coffee, chocolate, nutty notes. Surprisingly good since I don;t like Dunkels so much.

BAcklog rating. Bottle at the Chriso’s May tasting, London. It pours a caramel color with a small tan head. Aroma is acidic and sour, with skunk and green apples. Taste is sour and acidic, with puke, vegetables and lemon. Badly infected, horrible jonas (7549) - Garching b. München, GERMANY - JAN 10, 2011
Bottle, thanks Bierkrug! Cloudy orange-brown, golden head. Spicy roasted and citric aroma. Burned caramel, herbal citrus, orangepeel, bready notes. Chewy full body, light sparkly mouthfeel. Light sticky on the palate. Roast and citrus aftertaste. BlackHaddock (7232) - Shropshire, ENGLAND - MAY 9, 2012
The last of my reviews on out of date beers from this brewery. All 3 of their beers (including this one) are 5.2%.
Brown flip-top half litre bottle should have been drank before 20th Aug 2007, it was drunk today, 12th Sept 2007.
Poured into my old half litre Schultheiss glass from Berlin.
Great ruby red colour, the huge head of biege bubbles was so large I couldn’t get all the beer into my glass. The beer was not cloudy by any means but it wasn’t crystal clear either.
The aroma was of half burnt chocolate malts and yeast.
It tastes like an Dusseldorfer Alt more than a lager to me, the label gives no hint. I like it, whatever the true style is. The burntness in the aroma isn’t in the taste, dry caramel without the sweetness is what I pick up.
The mouthfeel is good, the beer and mouth goes dry, then more dry as you make your body wait for the next mouthful.
A very nice beer, this little brewery will be getting another visit from me.

500ml bottle @ Chriso May 14 tasting, courtesy of me, thanks to Beerhunter111. Very sour, vinegar, some grains.. clearly infected. Bamsen78 (5327) - Sønderborg, DENMARK - JUL 23, 2013
Bottle. Pours clear amber with airy but stable off-white head. Clear aroma of malt and caramel with some sparse hoppy notes. Bitter, hoppy flavour with roasty and sweetish touches of caramel malt and a hint of fruit. Mildly bitter finish. Decent.
